Hi, fellow mini-mes!
I'm 5'2", 42, and ALWAYS felt BIG because my sister is even more petite - and was always skinnier (still is, even after 2 children to my 0).
Age: 42
Height: 5'2"
Highest Weight: 148 (many years ago)
Lowest Weight: 108 (also years ago)
Current Weight: 130.2
Goal Weight: 118
I have fluctuated between 118-123 for 5 years. I weighed myself every day ... and had charts in my bathroom to track it (similar to these!!!) I stopped doing that when I ran out of "charts" :), stayed home for a month, and seem to have gained 10 pounds in less than 3 months! Yikes!
I've lost 3 so far and am SO happy I found this ... I'm a techie so having "my chart" online is amazing!
My goal is to exercise more, so I can relax a little more about the food and add some muscle. I have NO stomach muscles (although I have a flat stomach - luck of the genes for the pears in the world) and am having more back problems lately, which I need to tame.
Looking forward to the weigh-ins and the goals! Specifically, I need to get on that danged treadmill at least 1/2 hour a day, otherwise why have it taking up so much space in my family room???? In fact, I'm going to do a 1/2 hour right now! Thanks guys!

This is my first day with Calorie-Counter, & I was so happy to find a forum for Petite Women! I am 5'0 & quit smoking almost 1 1/2 yrs ago! It has been tough, but what has been tougher is the the 30 lbs I've gained since then. I recently lost my job & that has sent me into a tailspin, & I am also approaching 200 lbs!!!I am in a wonderful & loving relationship with someone who finally accepts me for me, but I'd like to be the weight I was in college, around 135. I've never wanted to be a size 2, I like to have curves, just in the right places. I've noticed that every 7 yrs or so my body has changed and I gain weight differently on my body, and it freaks me out! I wanna feel comfortable wearing a bathing suit, something I haven't felt since I was 18, which was 8 yrs ago! I welcome any advice, take care all & God Bless!
This sounds like an awesome group for me as well. I'm 5'2 and currently 154lbs. My highest weight was 165, I would really like to get into my low 120's. I'm going to Cancun in the end of May (May 24th) and would really like to drop as much weight (healthy way of course) as possible before than. I think I would like to be around 125 which for my I believe is a size 5. I'm having a hard time fitting in any cardio because I work full time and go to school full time in the evening. I'm 23 and after one of these full days I'm so exhausted.
Hopefully I can gain some inspiration from you all who have a similar goal in mind.

I am 5'1 and approaching 200lbs. I have been trying to loose weight since I stopped breastfeeding my son over a year ago and my weight just keeps creeping up. I had been using my kids as an excuse for my weight but I don't think that will fly anymore. No one around me has a weight problem so it is very hard to get help. My husband loves to cook and not the low fat version. I need support but I am not getting it from home. Help!
this is perfect! I kept seeing on the other boards women who were really tall and the same weight. 5'1. 152. we should have weekly challenges.
I would like challenges, I've put some out there but only a few have followed with the challege thing. Care to put one out there?
I'm in too. Ask me how many times I've lost and regained the same
10-20 pounds over the past 18 years...tooo many. I'm ready to get
off the diets and on with my life. Tomorrow's my birthday so this
seems like a good present to give myself...a commitment.

Hi! I am new to this whole thing... I am soon to be a college graduate and now that I don't have tests to study for hopefully I can get a cute body before "life" sets in! I made a New Years Resolution in January to lose weight... my motivation was because I think someone didn't want to hire me because I wasn't as small as the other people--really, its a very upfront customer relations job. Anyways... because we have a gym here at school I made it my goal to go there at least five days a week, and burn at least 500 calories each time. I usually end up going six days a week and burn about 800 calories. I try to eat healthy. Im short! I started at about 160 pounds and as of this morning I am 138, four months later.
Now that I am graduating, moving to an isolated location (closest town is 45 minutes away) I am going to need a little extra motivation to get these extra pounds off!
Age: 24
Current weight: 138
Highest weight: about 170 (Jan 2006), give a few pounds north
Lowest weight: 125 (2001)
Goal weight: 122
Height: close to 5'1

Glad to have all the new faces, I am afraid that some folks are joining and then losing interest because of no motivation. I trying to get going some daily challenges alternating lower and upper body. also focusing on healthy eating and lots of water for this group. Feel free to post your challenge and she who jumps in on it.
together we will lose it all!

Even other short people I know IRL don't seem to understand -_-; . They think I'm being obsessive to count every cal and try to figure deficits and whatever. However, they also eat as much junk as they want, won't exercise, and then wanna sit around and wonder why they can't lose weight -_-;;; . So, yeah, I think they're just not ready to get on the weight loss wagon, so to speak.

hello all minis, I would like to invite you all to a challenge for the month of July. It is simple and it works.
the mini challenge for June is almost over and we have had some real progess with the ladies. I will post all the final points and the winner on July one.
If you are unsure what the challenege is look at the main post of the "accountablity" thread or post 242 of the "accountability" thread. I would love to have you join. Also we did have a few that backed out when the challenge started. I don't care what you level of fitness is. this is a challenge for you and you alone. and Yes there is a little prize at the end but your health is worth doing it for free.
if you have question mail me and I will be happy to answer the.
