cm loss but no weight loss

Quote  |  Reply

I'm a little confused.

And hopefully somebody can explain this to me.

I do since 3 weeks extensive Muay Thai (Thai Kick Boxing). It is the best thing I have ever done. Every weekend 2 till 4 hours per day.

Now surprisingly I don't loose really weight. The training brings me every time on my limit and after wards I'm really tired.

I started with 51 kg and have now 50 kg.

But my waist is now 9!!cm smaller than before. From 76 to 67 cm.

My bottom lost 4 cm.

How can this be? I even don't eat a lot after the training.

Any help out there?

Reading what you have been doing, I am willing to bet that you lose a lot of your fat tissue and gaining more muscles. Muscle weighs more than fat tissue and more compact in your body. So I would not worry and dwell on the weight. Your body is shaping up and getting more defined. In my book, definition is good because definition = sexy :)

I suggest you eat more after the workout - more lean protein to maintain those muscles. Don't forget to replenish your body with necessary nutrients and (yes) carb. My favorite is banana and skim chocolate milk after a workout, or energy drink (to replenish electrolyte).

Eating a bit more carb at least an hour before your workout will help you in pushing your limit as well. Think of it this way, you fuel your body to burn more calories.

Hope that helps.

Kat.

thanks very much

I will try my best! I already feel better with the exercise. Especially my mind is more alive and I can concentrate better.

And you were right. I just measured my body fat %.

I t dropped by 3 %.

thanks

Congrats on the drop in body fat :)
