Coca Cola Light?

Quote  |  Reply

I'm in Madrid (I live in the United States), and they have Coke Light, rather than Diet Coke.  Is it the same thing(no calories, no sugar)?  THe nutrition facts are in Spanish, so I can't read them.  It tastes a little different, that's why I was wondering.  I was thinking maybe it's just a different artificial sweetener, or made with less sugar than the regular coke?

Thanks!

It's the same thing...

It seems to be similar to Diet coke without the sodium. I found the nutrition information at this site. Hope it helps some.

I also looked at wikipedia (I know it's not reliable but eh)- Diet Coke or Coca-Cola Light may be sweetened with a blend containing cyclamates, aspartame, and acesulfame potassium

You will find that Diet Coke (in English speaking countries) or Coke Light (in the others) will taste ever so slightly different depending where you are. there is defference in the flavour compared to different European countries. I'm now in Dubbai and again all softdrinks are slightly different in taste.

Fanta in the Netherlands is very different to Fanta in the UK for example.

It's dedicated research into a countries taste.

it is NOT the same.it has a little bit of sugar.a lot less then the regular sodas but it's not diet and have calories

I set  a glass of Coke Light on the floor when I lived in Japan (1992), forgot about it, and came back 15 minutes later and a line of ants had made their way to it and into it.

Actually, it is the same. At least the Malaysian version has 0 calories and 0 sugar.
