College; Accepted/ Who do you represent!

Quote  |  Reply

This might be a stupid post but I'd like to see if it catches on.

Tis the season for college admission decisions being returned!

Name where you got accepted or if you want to post where you go that'd be cool too.

I wanna see if where my calorie-count buddy might be headedWink

For me I've been accepted at St. Joe's in Philadelphia and Penn State University Park Campus [my first choice]Laughing

I'm in a Journalism program. I go to Emerson College in Boston.

I'm from NJ too and there was no way I was staying there for college.

I go to GW, and I love it!!

GO G-DUBBSs!!!!

Well I got into a number of places but all are in england and not super famous like oxford or anything so most people here probably wouldnt know them :P I want to go to the university of wales, so thats where I'll go if i get the grades!

Not to be nosy, but where abouts in wales is the national uni? I'm going to apply for Cardiff (for 2009, I'm not really late!) and a couple in scotland (Dundee and Ayr, plus possibly Glasgow) and Liverpool or Newcastle, if I want to be a bit closer to my mum in Bournemouth, so Uni of Wales would be good... That said, I've been looking into going to the american unis, so I suppose being close to home isn't really a priority for me! The further the better - the 12+hr journey up to scotland could put the family off visiting...

I am a freshman at a private liberal arts college in AL. After graduation I want to attend law school at The Univeristy of Alabama. woo! :)

BOBCATS '12!

Next year, I will be a fresman at Bates College, a tiny liberal arts school in Maine :)

I go to SUNY Geneseo.  It's a new york state school.  I got accepted into University of Virginia, University of Richmond, Kenyon College, Boston College, SUNY Potsdam, and American University.  Geneseo and Potsdam were the only ones I could afford, even though University of Virginia and Boston College were my top choices:-( oh well, I love it here now.
Geneseo? Nice. Good school; my cousin goes there. What part of NY are you from? I got into Purchase and New Paltz, but i was already in Bates by then lol.

I'm from around Rochester
I went to Davidson College in NC. Now I'm in grad school at Yale. I highly recommend a small, liberal arts school like Davidson over a research-oriented institution like Yale. Professors in small schools actually like teaching!

So do the professors at Virginia Tech, and we're definately not a liberal arts school, nor are we small (26k students).

I would recommend a school that has more focus on what you're interested in.  After freshman year, few of the engineering specific classes have more than 20-30 students in them, and I personally  only attended large lectures in my freshman level core curriculum classes (biology I, world regions, and human development).  The size of the school isn't necessarily indicative of the class size.

Cornell University 2012! :)

kkm5, I'll be up near you next year!

I'm in a Journalism program. I go to Emerson College in Boston.

I'm a senior at Allegheny College in PA!  It's a small liberal arts school, so I don't know if many have heard of it.

I'm hoping to get into grad school at either Columbia University, Emerson College, or University of Pittsburgh for an MFA in Creative Writing!

dm84, how is Emerson?  Haha.

UCLA.

(fight, fight, fight!)

alicandra

The uni of wales is made up of several differant unis, such as cardiff and swansea etc, its not particular uni.

I am going to swansea (as cardiff wanted all A's for my subject and I aint the smart :P) but thought most american people mght not know where swansea is or have heared of it.

It's great. I'm almost sad that I'm graduating in May. I know a lot of people in the MFA program and they seem to like it a lot.

Hey hungary I just graduated from Bates!! 1congrats: such a good school!

I just am in the process of applying to grad schools, and I've gotten into northwestern, uc santa barbara, and university of minnesota, but I've still got a lot left!
