!College people looking to lose 20lbs for Christmas vacation!

Hey everyone! I'm Jackie and I'm in my first year as an art student. My goal right now is to lose 24 more pounds by December 23rd (family Christmas party)! That will put me at 199 pounds. I come from a huge family and I really want them all to see me in a new light. Plus, I want to look nice in our yearly picture for once! Laughing

Now who's with me? I want to do this with girls my age who are going through similar stresses at college.. So let's get this party started with our stats! I weigh in every Sunday so that's when I'll be updating Smile Everyone is free to update whenever they want!

Age, Height, Pants size: 19 yrs, 5'7", size 16

Starting Weight: 280

Current Weight: 223

Christmas Goal: 199

I AM SO IN!

I am deff the biggest person in a VERY petite and active family, i desperately want to get rid of my buddha belly and feel confident. IM not sure if i can loose 20 pouds in this amount of time...its pretty unrealistic. I would however like to have a similar goal date so I am in!

Starting weight: 146

CW: 146...it wont budge..why??

Hey guys, how's everyone doing? I'm trying to add back in protein powder to my diet... I have 1 canister of TERRIBLE rice powder I need to finish, then it's back to soy and whey for me!!

 

Also--you guys know Naked Juice?  They have a deeeeelicious chocolate-banana protein shake.  Great for a morning breakfast on the go, then save the other half for that mid-afternoon slump!  Just be careful: each bottle has about 2 servings at 240 calories per serving.  So don't gulp the whole thing down right away! :)

 

And iwbahe- how's quitting smoking?  You can do it!

Hi, this is iwbahe. Had some difficulties when changing from the old calcount to the plus (it's been a long time since I used the calcount site, as I haven't had internett at the last three places i've been living). I transfered my old loggs over here, and for some reason I was using my old name - iwbahe. (I'm horrible at explaining in my native language, so the odds of you not understanding my explanation is VERY good).


Anyway, the quit-smoking-plan isn't going great at the moment. Have had two good day where I haven't been smoking much, but as for quitting...well, I'm not quite there yet. I have a break next week - 9 days off - and believe things will be a lot better then: no stress, working out, relaxing, no pressure. I'm not smoking while at school though, so that's a start. As you smokers out there know, it's a lot to do with routine.

Man I'm getting annoyed.. my weight isn't moving :( Usually it moves a little bit each day! Doh.

I'd love to join this little group, but I won't be able to track my weight since I don't have a scale (I don't go to the one in the gym because I prefer to do my excercise outside and so basically never use the gym).  I'll have only 3 chances to weigh myself in and those are when I go home. ^^

I'm in sophomore year and was starting to get lax about my eating habits.  While I was working in France, I got great influences from my friends and started losing weight without even trying, but once I got back, I gained it all back, and more!  OH NO!  Well, I'm trying now to cut back the calories, increase the exercise, and supplement my diet with vitamins and fiber.  Hopefully this will balance out alright.

I'm wondering what most of you recommend for someone like me.  Most my excess weight is around my thighs and some around the abdomen.  What can I do/eat to trim down and tone up?  Is there a certain regime that has worked for you?  Also, I'm not familiar with how many times a week someone should exercise to lose this kind of weight this quickly.

Things are ok with me, I just  havent seen the scale budge at all this week... Im being really good too. eghh...

 

 

I just weighed in, and the scale says I'm 152.7, down from 154.7 since Sunday!  I know this is just water weight etc. from me quitting the junk food and starting a healthy diet, but just the same it's encouraging.  I'm 2 lbs closer to my goal! 

Cherrytaurean, don't worry too much about it, your weight could not budge at all for a while and then drop suddenly, your it does funny things.

I am definitely in for the group! :)

I am 22 years old and on my last semester at college and want to lose 15-20 lbs. before I graduate (December)...scarrry its so soon!...or at least be well on my way to losing it.

I love when you first start dieting agan and you lost that water weight at the beginning. I'm down 2.5 pounds!

I had a cheat day yesterday (I know... like three days in? lol) but other than that I'm being really good. I cut out soda completely, and I've cut out fast food (with the exception of my cheat day). I really want to lose weight to where people notice and I feel better about myself.

I had a cheat day yesterday and my body REJECTED IT. You heard right.. my body wouldn't let me have the cheat day!. I had pizza for the first time in a month and it was so greasy that I threw up a couple hours later. WTF. I'm never eating that brand (Dominos) pizza again. It is just too greasy for my new eating habits to handle.

When I want cheat days I guess I'll just have to stick to eating a ton of healthy food, LOL.

 Yup that can happen. That happened to me with meat, i am a vegetarian and at the begginning i ate a piece of steak my bf cooked and i got sick and he didnt. That also happens if you eat a lot of junk food after not eating any for a while

I guess all ive lost so far was water weight and junk food my body was getting rid of. I weighed myself today and i went up .2 lbs from yesterday, it was consistently going down everyday by .2 lbs except today :/ im just hoping its muscle cause i worked out last night and my body is kinda sore

hi! i'm a junior and my weight has fluctuated from 130-160 (that wasn't all gaining - i started at about 140, lost to 130, gained to 150, gained to 160, lost to 140, gained to 150) since i entered college.  i'm an art/bio major, so i'm pretty busy but i love it.  my biggest challenge is that i struggle with moderation in my eating - i either binge or have a really hard time making my goal.  i'm trying to focus on having a steady daily intake and eating every few hours as well as incorporating more healthy foods and exercising more.  

Age: 19 - holy cow my birthday is NEXT TUESDAY, i'm practically ancient already, gah. 

Height: 5'10

Pant Size: 4-6

Start Weight: 158 lbs.

Current Weight: 150 lbs.

Christmas Goal: 135 lbs.

so yeah, i only have 15 i want to lose (i looked too thin at 130), but i'd love to do it before christmas break!

ZOMG.  True.  I can't eat bacon anymore.  I had some a year or two ago after eating pretty healthy; gave me terrible stomaches/nausea and I think later the runs.  NOT pretty.  I know that pork roll also does this to me - it's the high fat and sodium content.  I can't handle it anymore.  Not that I'm complaining; I never liked that salt anyway, and now I have an excuse not to eat it.

I'm a sophomore. I didn't really gain my freshman year until april and graduation parties. Now I'm back and I've already put on 5 lbs since I hace been back. That can not happen.

It sounds tricky. Honestly, just count the calories in the drinks LOL. If you know you're gonna go to a party, maybe try working out a little more so that you'll have more calories to spare. I'm not really sure cause I don't drink :(

 

I definitley want to join!  Freshman year of college and since I came here having just lost some weight, I really don't want to gain it all back.  Already starting to go way over some days, soo I need to this to stay on track.
