!College people looking to lose 20lbs for Christmas vacation!

Hey everyone! I'm Jackie and I'm in my first year as an art student. My goal right now is to lose 24 more pounds by December 23rd (family Christmas party)! That will put me at 199 pounds. I come from a huge family and I really want them all to see me in a new light. Plus, I want to look nice in our yearly picture for once! Laughing

Now who's with me? I want to do this with girls my age who are going through similar stresses at college.. So let's get this party started with our stats! I weigh in every Sunday so that's when I'll be updating Smile Everyone is free to update whenever they want!

Age, Height, Pants size: 19 yrs, 5'7", size 16

Starting Weight: 280

Current Weight: 223

Christmas Goal: 199

4lbs is great but it would've been 6 if it wasn't for the cheat day. I usually don't gain on cheat days but for some reason this week was different. I'm hoping it's just water weight.

Only down .5 lb.  Oh well.

yea, i've been fluctuating between 178-179 for the past couple weeks.. i'm actually taking a weight-lifting class through my college so i'm kind of praying that the saying "muscle weighs more than fat" is true.. D= well, we'll see how next weigh-in goes... hopefully it's not back up to 179..

I'd def. would love to join with your challenge. I am going home for xmas and can't wait till everyone sees me with 20lbs. less.

wow I'm having an off week. I have gained 4 pounds! I log everything I eat, and it is always below 1500 cals. And I do some excercise every night... burning at least 300 cals.

It might be because I started the whole 5 small meals a day instead of just 3.... but I'm not sure. I just hope the numbers start going down again. This is kind of depressing.

My weight is being really annoying too. I gotta try eating more to see if it helps :(

I ACTUALLY got my butt to the gym today, so I thought I should post...since I have something to post about lol. I haven't gone down in weight at all, still at 176, but hopefully since I've gone once, it'll be easier to keep it going now. I ran for quite awhile :) I can run 1/3 of a mile without stopping. I was pretty impressed with myself. Hopefully a month from now I'll be able to run a whole mile without stopping! Anyway...that's my story!

Wow that is awesome about your exercise Lily!

BTW eating more is working I think.. I saw 221 on the scale Surprised I wish it'd speed up a little though!

Well..i've gained like 1-2 lbs in the past week :( I havent exercised or eaten right cause ive been staying at my bf's house so tom. i am back on the wagon. Im not giving up!

Crap I forgot to post last week I was just thinking about it.  Anyhow I was down 2, can I still participate?

so  I was home from school the past few days on break and was running around so much i didnt get on here at all, still watched what I ate  but I know I ate more than usual..havent seen a scale yet but hopefully I didnt do too much damage lol anyway back at school now and back on track Laughing

Of course you can still participate Kizzi!! That is awesome that you lost 2 pounds!

OK so I know I'm a little late, but I am still going to join.  I am currently a senior. I want to lose at least 20 lbs by christmas because I have a reunion on Dec. 26th.  Then I want to continue with my goal till May'09 because I want to reach my real goal weight by the time I graduate!!!

BTW- I recently lost about 10lbs to bring myself to 120, but then I gained it back again from binging.  :(  I'm hoping I can get this under control, so I can reach my goals!!

 

Hey! would you guys mind if I joined the group too?  I'm a Junior in college, and have been on the weight loss kick since gaining the freshman fifteen. (well, twelve).  I lost those going into my sophomore year by finding this website and starting to exercise.  Then after reaching my goal, i stopped logging and started BINGING.  After a rough year, i was horrified to find out i gained practically all of it back.  so this summer i kicked it into gear again and have been more careful, so it's been slower (i think i went too fast last time).  but i'm determined to make this a LIFESTYLE change not just a weight loss goal.  and its soooo hard in college as you all know.  late night studying and partying and lack of sleep, its a recipe for disaster, but together i know we can overcome it and WOW our families at christmas! anyway, here are my stats:

End goal weight (Sometime in february HOPEFULLY): 130lbs
