Wow nice
I am 21, turning 22 on Weds haha, going to be a senior at UCSC. i have gained 20 lbs since frosh year. It's funny cuz my roommate is really big, so she thought i was skinny, but i weighed 168lbs at 5' 6 1/2.
all the late nites at the dinning hall, and junky food, oh godsh, when i went back home for spring break this year, my mom was really mad at me, she said mean things like "u wont get a job if ur not skinny" but i m never the skinny type, i have big bones, big butt, and big boobs compare to an asian girl.
so i decided to show her that i can take control of my body. I have been going to the gym since April, i figured i should at least try to utilize the free gym while im in college, this time i m back at home for summer, my mom was happy that i lost some weight, but i feel it s more important that i ve become more active than before.
i am 158 now, goal weight it's 135!!! add oil everyone~

ooo, a college support group~! :P
i erm...wasn't thin before i got to college, and two years of fatty buffet food and unlimited deserts didn't help. but i've just moved out of the dorms and into my own place, and hopefully, this'll encourage me to eat better :)

i think a lot of it has to do with all the stress we go through. No one else seems to understand that school is difficult studying is hard and time consuming and physically draining, even though it's not a workout. I'm just glad to be on summer break, but a little worried about how I'll get along with cc when school starts again. My schedule is so busy that i'm a little skeptical of all this...
Hey all. I just graduated from college, but I'm going to start law school in the fall. I definitely have gained weight since high school, but since I was always fairly small I never got into a habit of weighing myself...so I don't actually know how much I've gained, but I'd say somewhere around 20 lbs in my four years.
21 - BMI 25 - 5'3" - 141 lb
First goal: 124
I have definitely been drinking less (especially after being a second semester senior!), but I am trying to enjoy my last summer of freedom. I know that come September I will defnitely be drinking way less.
I think the hardest part about college is the comparison to other people. Like other people have said you know what they eat and when they work out.
Keep up the hard work and I'll be here!

Hey! So glad you posted this.
I'm a junior and fortunately haven't gained any weight from eating in the dining hall...then again I try to avoid eating there to begin with XD I don't think my dining hall understands that vegetarian doesn't mean indestinguishable mush half the time...sad.
I'm not the type to scarf down pizza or drink much. My biggest problem is eating healthy when I'm bouncing all around on an overachiever's schedule! Haha. ^^; Oh yes..that and chocolate cravings. Seriously..does anybody have a viable solution to those?
Stats- 19 yrs old- 5'6", 167

I'm 21 and about to enter my senior year in college. I'm 5'4" and currently weigh 146. When I started college, I was 135, but I didn't really start gaining weight until junior year. I think that I gained weight this past year just because it was so much more work than my first 2 years, and so stressful. I don't really eat more when I'm stressed, I just make poor food choices and eat unhealthy foods.
My goal is to get down to 120 (which I haven't weighed since sophomore year in high school). I recently started going to the gym and I hope that I can stick to it and keep eating healthy! I'm also new to this site and have become addicted. :)

Wow, I'm surprised most of you don't drink. I?m going to be a sophomore and I went out a lot freshman year. My first semester I went out about 5 times a week, but that began to take a toll on my mind; I was always tired and would sleep the days away. During Christmas break I wasn?t getting as much exercise as I did in college (it?s an urban campus so I probably walk 3 miles a day plus go to the gym), but I was eating the same. So I gained weight. Then my second semester I started getting very stressed. I had a 3.9 my first semester and felt so much pressure to maintain it (which I did, thank goodness). Anyway, I was stressed and turned to all the snacks laying around my sorority house (I?m required to be on the Greek meal plan). This coming semester I'm going to turn to fitness instead of food when I'm feeling stressed. Overeating only makes stress worse because you feel so guilty! Also in terms of going out, I think the trick is just don't eat a whole lot that day, then before you go out eat a full, healthy meal so you don't get sick later. Then in the morning hit the gym and sweat all of the toxins out of you.
I am a upcoming Junior. Thank God it is almost over. I love pizza. I love the UniMini and CSM food its so good. I am a junk food eater. If you set down a plate of good food and then a plate of junk food infront of me, I would eat the junk food first then the good food.
My stats are: 5'6, 190, 19 years old, and BMI: 30.
my goal: 145

what has helped me to lose weight and still have a fun college life is adding more water to my diet and decreasing my alcohol tolerance. I didn't drink for 2 or 3 weeks and at smaller portions so that when I did drink, it only took me about 3 drinks to get a good buzz. I also only use diet mixers. During the day and on weekdays I don't drink any diet drinks just lots of water. I realized that I can still have fun and lose weight. It's worked so far, I'm down a dress size and my tops a loose on me now!! Hope I helped someone out! :)

But.. ahhhh the alcohol.. you guys know how it goes..luckily unfortunately I usually have too much work so I can't go drinking every week, but hey,..

I'm 17 (5"5, 120 lb) and about to go to college in September. Please... I party a LOT. I mean, I study hard (going to Yale) but I PARTY like no other, and I don't want to stop. But I also don't want to gain the freshman 15.
