College Students

Quote  |  Reply
Hello! I am starting a club for college students. It is hard going off to college and making the right food choices...I think we can support each other and talk about healthy alternatives to food choices. I am going to be a senior in college next year and I am trying to lose that weight I gained from college.

A little about me, I'm a biomedical engineer...I'm recently engaged and I love to drink (which is horrible if you are dieting)

about my weight...

I'm 5'10" medium build

started at: 172lbs

currently at: 140lbs

want to be: 140lbs <~~ made my goal!!! took ~6 months

Since College/Classes are done for summer...How did everyone do with the diet??

Weird...
I'm a biopsychology major about to start my senior year at the University of Michigan. I'm 5'6' and currently 145lbs. I just joined CC a few days ago in order to lose the 10-15 lbs I've put on since high school plus another few on top of that. My goal weight is about 120 or 125 pounds.

My friends at school and I are all very work hard/play hard (meaning you can find us in the library most evenings but come Thursday nights, we'll be at the bar). It'll be difficult to manage but I know I will have to be really careful about drinking if I want to stick to my diet! Also, late night drunk-food can be killer...
Hey! I'm not in college anymore, now in University!! Yeah!! But my college years were so great...
Yaaaay college people! I'm 22 and in my 5th and a half year of ungergrad studies (GULP!), but am technically a junior, soon to be senior. Luckily out of all of my friends only 3 of them graduated in 4 years -- and they went to private, not state, so I feel better about my slowness! ;-)

My major is broadcast journalism and my minor is theatre. It would've been dance but unfortunately CSUN (aka Cal State Northridge) doesn't really have a *dance* program -- it's just a division of the kinesiology dept. Meanwhile I do community theatre when I have time. I just finished playing Shelley in the musical Bat Boy and will likely audition for Assassins in the winter. Yay musical theatre! :)

Weight wise:

Starting point: 113, which was the heaviest of my young life so far.
Currently: Hovering around 109.
Goal: 100... But even 105 would make me happier.
Bone structure: XS on top, S/M on the bottom. I want to lose a little weight and tone up a lot because I'm shaped like a disproportionate tablespoon!

Ahh... Je veux aller au Québec! :(
Mmm, and I walk in late, as usual!  I'm going into my second year of grad school, studying linguistics and anthropology.  'Cause I'm a big nerd that way.

The numbers:
Age - 22
Height - 4'11.5"  (that half is very important...)
Starting weight - 156 (beginning of the summer)
Goal weight - 135 (still technically overweight, but I want to keep some curvess)
Current weight - something like 144-148, depending on the time of day
Wait, Krissy, you're at CSUN?  Duuude.  My first real job was in Chisholm Hall.  *grin*

(Fond memories of the swirly CSUN sculpture... yay nostalgia!)
Viens Alibuch! Je t'invites!
First year law student

Age 22

Starting weight:162

Goal weight:  135

Late night eating is  not helping my diet but some days turn out better than others.  I'm just gonna keep on truckin!

Don't forget meee

It's true, Nassira, I'm at CSUN.

And I like it about as much as I like going to the dentist. ;-)
Hey guys,

Today was a big step for me. I went to Subway and didnt even get a cookie!!! YEAAAAh ME!!!LOL
I'm a Junior, age 23, studying Information Technology.

5'3" medium frame

started at: 175 lbs

currently: 128 lbs

goal: 115 lbs by January

I was a victim of the Freshman 15 :p  But I lost it and then some! :)
Hi everyone, I'm a Vet student going into my 3rd year.

5'3.5" (that half is very important to me ok?!lol)

And as for weight I'm about 147lbs but my scales are very broken and I'm just counting my calories and hoping I go down relentless!

Trying to get to 128lbs but unless I invest in new scales I'll never know how close I am! lol.

My vice is at revision time when I can eat so much chocolate its unbelivable!! I don't even know I'm doing it but I saw a picture of me in Fresher's week last month and I was so thin. Trying to get back there! :D
And I get very confused by the US school system too...lol...so I'm actually at Uni not college...but what the hell eh?!
technus good job, so information tech. I have two friends that are doing similar but it is a part of a business admin. program. That was my back up major but I intend to stay with Engineering since I have so much effort and energy to it. Though as you could tell with being in computer engineering, you can see I am a big computer or tech. geek. lol. Anyways later.
