College Students

Quote  |  Reply
Hello! I am starting a club for college students. It is hard going off to college and making the right food choices...I think we can support each other and talk about healthy alternatives to food choices. I am going to be a senior in college next year and I am trying to lose that weight I gained from college.

A little about me, I'm a biomedical engineer...I'm recently engaged and I love to drink (which is horrible if you are dieting)

about my weight...

I'm 5'10" medium build

started at: 172lbs

currently at: 140lbs

want to be: 140lbs <~~ made my goal!!! took ~6 months

Since College/Classes are done for summer...How did everyone do with the diet??

I'm a senior at UCSB, studying theatre, dance, and music. I gained a lot of weight in high school and then because I was at home my first year of college I was able to loose a lot of it, then when my second (junior) year I moved away, finally got to experiance those frosh 15. During this summer I've lost those 15 but I'm still not where I would want to be.

Age: 20
Height: 5'7" small build
Started at 240 lbs senior in high school
Currently 145 Lbs
Goal of 125

When I'm going to go back to school, I'll be eating dorm food again :-P which is all high calorie and high fat etc... I might start living on oatmeal lol (The only cooking material I have is a water boiler!) I already have a physically active job, dance 4 hours a day and run 2 so I cannot really increase my excersize routine to compensate, there just isn't time in the day. Right now I'm just going to think positive and hope that I can stay on track.

College student here!

f/ 5'6" around 150. I gained about ten in the past yr. (freshman, lol) and want to get down to 140 again!

female second year nursing student here.

5"3, 110 lbs!!

(recently accomplished my goal) ^-^

college wont stop us guys. cheers!!

hey! great idea!
i'm a junior at harvard.  classes start tomorrow and hopefully it's not too much stress to start a new diet/workout plan at the same time.  i'm 5'6'' and 130.  i've been as high as 140 and and as low as 115, and my goal is to get to 115-125, fit into my size 2-4 clothes without looking like a skank ho, and feel unfat.
the hardest thing for me is consistency, especially while switching from school to home (no gym and lots of 'sweetie you don't like my cookies?") back to school (no time and lots of social events centered around food); sports (lightweight crew skinniness and rugby buffness); partying and studying, etc.  does anyone else have issues with this?  i need some buddies in the same situation.  feels like everyone here calculates gpas and lsats but never steps on a scale :P

Hi

Im a college sophomore at University of Colorado - CU - and I am on Thanksgiving break right now and lovin' every minute of it!!! I love being home, sleeping in my own bed, etc....granted I have my own bed at my apartment near school, but nothing can get better than being home! The only problem is my dad cooks AMAZING food and I tend to eat ALL OF IT! My mother and father always think there is going to be left overs, but NO: I cannot let ANYTHING go un-finished! I must eat it all! hahahaha! Good Thing I have such a tight diet or else I would be as big as a mansion!!! I only eat lean meats - grass-fed beef, bison, chicken & turkey breast, ostrich, fish of ALL kinds, venison, elk, etc... and non-starchy veggies - all greens, tomatoes, eggplant, squash, brussel sprouts, etc. NOTHING else gets past my lips let me tell you!!! But I do eat fats like olive oil and flax oil so I am not on a low-fat eating plan by ANY MEANS: if anything I WELCOME THE FAT! hmmm!! hahahaha!!

Hope everyone is lovin' the college life?! Sadly, I cannot WAIT to get out of college and move on with my life!!!! haha!

Anyone want to be a journalist in here?! Me, I want to broadcast about CELEBRITY GOSSIP!!!! RIP INTO BRITNEY SPEARS A LITTLE BIT! hahaha! Eh, actually shes annoying old news...something new needs to happen! haha!!!

No one has written in a while... but Im brand new and want to tell someone my goals since i tried to tell my friends and they insist im the same weight i was in high school, when I gained 5 pounds my jr/sr year, and and about 10 since college started :/

so:

age: 19

Height- 5'5" small frame

Current: about 150, i dont have a scale so it could be a little more a little little less, that was as of Thanksgiving Break

Goal Weight: 132.2 lbs (Jul 27 2008)
