College Students who want to lose 20+ lbs by summer
I saw a group for teens that wanted to lose 20 + pounds by summer, but quickly noticed that most posts were from 13-16 year olds. I just thought I'd start one up for the 19-25 crowd out there with, unfortunately a slower metabolism. Enter your stats so we can get to know and support each other!

Hey guys!
Age: 21
Height: 5'9
Weight: 163
Goal: 130
Lbs to lose: 33
Lbs lost: I live by myself now for school and I don't own a scale, so I haven't weighed myself since being back home at my parents house which was 2-3 weeks ago so I'm not really sure!
Desired date: don't really have one..I'll just say the start of summer. June-ish.
Other Goals: tight abs, be able to run for 45 minutes straight, toned arms
I used to be in amazing shape in highschool, I played a competitive basketball so I'd be sprinting for at least an hour every day. Ever since I graduated I've kind of let myself go, I still go to the gym often and lift weights, and play sports whenever I can so I'm not that bad. My legs are nice and toned and my arms are getting there, it's just the midsection and back that are a bit scary. I've started listening to my body and only eating when I'm truly hungry, and when I DO eat, eat low-cal, nutritious foods. I'm excited to weigh myself next time I go home and see if I've made any improvement..hopefully I have so they'll be a bit more motivation!
Hi Everyone,
I have been losing and gaining on and off throughout my life and now im around the 150s and would like to look my best by the summer time. I joined Calorie Count a little over a month ago with a starting weight of 162lbs. I am a freshman at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and majoring in Industrial Design. When I first came here my biggest fear was gaining the feshman fifteen. I actually did gain some weight, maybe about 5lbs but I wasn't comfortable with my weight even before that.

Okay well I wanted to get the ball rolling in terms of weight loss for this group seeing as there are so many enthusiastic people and we havent heard from kjk6126 for a while I'm gonna go ahead and say the weigh in day is wednesday as I think that sounds like a good day.
The plan is this, you weigh on wednesday and say your starting weight, last weeks weight and current weight. Maybe also state if you have lost any inches because if you don't lose weight inches can be a great motivator. Also state three goals for the week ahead that you want to achieve.
Good luck everyone, first weigh in day is March 4th and Happy St.Davids Day from here in Wales xxxAge: 20
Height: 5'8"
Current Weight: 143 (+/-)lbs

Pounds to Lose: 13-15 lbs -- I'll take 20, too.

Other Goals:
- Yes!! Fit into old jeans, or at least have fun buying new ones!
- Feel comfortable wearing a swim suit! Maybe I'll even do a first -- wear a bikini!
- Lose the unattractive bulges
- Simple feel comfortable in my own skin. I'm tired of being self-conscious.

I put on 20 lbs after moving to NYC. I am a part time grad student and work a full time job. It is such a waste to cook for myself, since I live alone. Any Ideas on how to lose 20 LBS? I have always been under 120 and never had to work hard to take the weight off.. this time it does not seem to change from 140. I always feel like im thinking about food at work, since i at a desk. I woul like to stick to a veggy and fruit diet, very little carbs and only one serving of meat a day.. any ideas on quick, low calorie, low prep meals??
I'm excited!

Oh also, i forgot to add in about my history..soooo, i played soccer for 6 years and was always in shape and loved to run all the time. I ALwaYs stayed around 110, give or take a few pounds, but was in great shape..after high school, i was in college and went out clubbing non-stop..eventually i got to a weight of 120 pounds, which is completely unheard of and rediculous for me. i know 120 sounds like a very little bit but think of this on a 4'11" (and a half!) sized person..it looks terrible. i still get compliments about how i look, but i just dont feel good about myself. i also want to get into a bikini without wearing shorts for the first time in my life (all my weight goes to my thighs, hips, butt and boobs) So here's hoping!!!
