colonoscopy prep & aftermath

i'm having an extreme difficult time finishing the nulytely, will the dr. cancel my procedure if i don't finish it?  i've finished 1/2 of the 4L but only had 3 bowel movements, it that good enough?  it make me gag and the taste is just awful and i'm bloated, i hate this.

after the colonoscopy can i eat normal again or should i start slow with soft food?  is it ok to eat fruits?

You need to drink enough for your BMs to be clear. If they aren't, your doctor may not be able to see what he needs to during the procedure, and then you will have to do it AGAIN, with more prep.

You can eat normally after the procedure, but eat bland foods for the first meal or two to give your GI tract a little rest.

Oh man! That's awful...but you're better off gulping down the swill because you want to make sure it's done right or you may have to do it again. Hang in there and get it over with.

Try refrigerating the drink.  It is much easier to get down if really cold!

go buy some margarita mix and mix it up! (you can even add a shot of liquor, its a clear liquid!...plus you may need it, there is a long night ahead...) colonoscopy= NO FUN! i've been there! hang in there!

If your BM's are clear you should be fine, but really?  Your not going and going and going?  that is odd... You should try to finish it...  make it COLD and drink it with a straw.

I didn't start 'going and going' until I had had both bottles of the prep and waited a while. I also vomited the first bottle. Just choke it down and settle in for a long night.
