Anybody else following this?? How are they going to save him....

Boy floats away in balloon contraption!

Watching live on CNN - Good lord this is awful.

Oh no! 

Maybe the movie "UP" wasn't a great idea for kids.

Maybe parents should keep a better eye on their kids!!! :(

I wonder if they can save him using a conventional hot air balloon, or a helicopter?  :(

Oh my god! That is so scary! I hope that little boy ends up ok!!

I was thinking hot air balloon also, because a helicopter may not be able to get close enough, I dunno. Maybe someone can hook it or something with some rope (like what cowboys do with cattle... can't remember the name atm).

It's a helium balloon and that isn't good let alone the speed it's flying at.

Poor kid!  That's what I was thinking Meagan... if they can get a helicopter above the balloon, perhaps they could use a rescuer on a ladder or a platform or something to get him...

OMG, I am in Colorado. He must be so scared! I feel so sorry and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the authorities that they are able to help him down.

Holy cow.  I hope and pray they can get him down safely. 

Maybe a helicopter and a trailing net...?  :(

but it's going SO fast. i'm watching the live feed, and that thing is cruising along. it's like half deflated now too and rocking.

are they saying that everyone took their eyes off this for even one second? You'd know or not know if the farking kid fell out.

ETA: I dind't consider that he may have fallen out before they realized he was in there.

Mom & dad have been on wife swap twice.

that said, of course I hope that its all a stunt and the boy is all right.

If not, I pray that he returns safe and that his parents have learned a valuable lesson about being idiots.
