Help! I have been trying so hard everyday to eat small portions of health food throughout the day (a yogurt here, half a fruit there) and doing an hr of weights in the a.m. and an hr of cardio in the p.m. 4-6 times a week.

BUT I seem to continue to gain weight! What should I do?

Is it better to eat 3 meals a day, or 3 small meals with a snack inbetween to kick up your metabolism?

It might be that right now your body is actually gaining muscle (which is a good thing) however it tends to be denser and thus weights alittle more. I've heard of people gaining weight at the beginning because of this, but never fear, the great thing about muscle is that is actually burns more calories SO you're metabolism will increase and this will help you start to lose weight. For me I never notice a weight loss week by week, I fluctuate too much I think, but after a good solid effort for a month suddenly I can see the difference, both in the way my clothes fit, and the scale. Be patient, what you are doing works, so it just takes some time, some people take alittle longer for their bodies to show then others. Also, you have to find what works for you. Make sure you are eating enough, and make sure what you are eating has nutritional value! You'll see results soon :)
and until then read the old posts, I always find motivation and suggestions that are really helpful!

oh and the metabolism question, I think it's better to eat more contiueously through the day, so 3 smaller meals and snacks inbetween, that way your metabolism stays steady all day, as well as your blood sugar. This will help you feel more energized, and less hungry so you won't bing.
