COMMITTED LOSERS [Group Open Again!]
Hi guys! I'm baaaack! Basically spent about 6 months UNDOING all of the weightloss you all helped me with last year and am now at a whopping 148 lbs, 8 lbs more than what I started with last year. I feel disgusting and totally ashamed. Time to get back on track. Hope to be down to 130 by the end of the summer. Anyone new want to join me for weekly weigh-ins and daily motivation? Anyone still around from last summer?
[OP from last summer: I've been doing weekly weigh-ins in a couple of CC forum groups, but no one seems to want to offer support and motivation on any other day than weigh-in day! Everyone checks in about once a week and that's it. I need an active forum that I can turn to every day for inspiration. I think it would be best to limit such a group to about 15 really committed members with similar stats and goals. I'm looking for people who can check in and post regularly, people who turn to this group instead of binging, people who will share their weaknesses, rants, raves, progresses, and plateaus as often as possible.
I'm proposing that we weigh-in on FRIDAYS and that we keep "weighing-in" metaphorically every other day of the week. Who's with me?]
No one?
I'm definitely in! I admire your plans to take control of your weight gain by using a message board for reinforcement.
My stats:
Height: 5'1.5ish
Weight: fluctuates between 125 - 130
Goal Weight #1 = 115 by June 25
Goal Weight #2 = 105
I know the 2nd goal weight may sound too low, but this is where I look and feel my best (as long as I am also incorporating a fitness routine and not just restricting calories). I have a very small frame and am apple-shaped.
I am in too. I have got to get back at it. I had lost 34 pounds but for the last 3-4 months I have done nothing. I think I have gained at least 10 pounds back if not more.
I am 39 and 5'6" currently 172 down from 199. I did see 162 at one point but haven't seen it for a long time. I want to get down to 140. I know I need to work out more. I am in that vicious cycle-I do really good with my eating if I work out but if I skip a day I eat just about everything.
I have got to start again. I don't know if I will be able to post daily but I will try a few times a week! I get up every single morning and get dressed to work out then I talk myself out of it-if I just go downstairs and get on the treadmill/push start-I am totally committed. I just can't get motivated to make the walk down the stairs.
So here is to a little motivation and support!!!!!
Good Luck
Hi tod! I'm still around. Down to 142 (from almost 180) and looking to lose another 10 or so pounds slowly.
Welcome ice and wyo!
Ice: As long as you're being safe I see nothing wrong with a goal weight of 105. It seems to be on the lower end of the normal range for your height.
I'm 5'3 and would like to eventually get down to around 110 lbs which means I have around 35lbs to lose. My short term goal is to be 135 by my birthday in early July, 125 by the time the semester starts again in mid August, and 115 by the New Year.
Wyo: First of all, congrats on that 34lb loss! Don't worry about gaining some of it back, just get back on track now! Have you done the treadmill today yet?
I burned about 100 cals walking briskly for about 1.5 miles and just now I logged another 260 cals with the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred dvd. Trying to stick to a calorie intake of about 1400 for the day which should leave me with about a 600 calorie deficit. If I do that about 6 more times I'll be down 1 lb. 1 lb and 34 to go! Woo!
What's everyone having for dinner tonight?
Leftovers! :-) Roast beef (probably left cold), roast potatoes/onions/peppers (reheated), ratatouille (reheated) and summer pudding for dessert. Will be yummy - and not as high cal as you might think.
Yay susiecue! How are you? So glad you're still here and so proud of your loss! You must have really kept at it while I was scarfing down pizza and french fries all winter whithout excersizing at all! Congratulations!
Haven't worked out today-still at work will go for a run after I get home. I will take both of my boys and the dog. I totally love the 30 day shred-what day are you on? I will start day 1 tomorrow morning!!!!!!
Dinner tonight is pork noodles. We use boiled eggs, onion, small strips of pork and thin spaghetti-the boys call it chinese noodles. I only use the egg whites and a serving of pork with a dash of soy sauce and a spicy scheczwan sauce. Only about 600 calories. Have eaten pretty good today only at 700 and still eating my mid afternoon snack (apple). Shooting for about 1500 cals today.
i would love to be a part of this group! i'm in another challenge, but i spend way too much time on CC and post about a hundred times a day, so i figured i need a second place to troll. :)

dinner for me tonight will be sushi! one of my absolute favorite things to eat. i've saved some calories today so i don't have to feel bad about eating a bit more than usual.
An idea: Why don't we all start by introducing ourselves like this...

wyo: I just did day 4 of the 30 Day Shred. Still on Level 1. I think I will stick with that until day 10 and then move on to Level 2. How long have you been at it?
Dinner tonight for me will be a big pile of sauteed asparagus, fiddlehead ferns, and morel mushrooms and a piece of poached tilapia. Hopefully I'll have room for some homemade strawberry rhubarb crumble for dessert!

What is this 30 day shred thing?
I'd like to be in. I am trying to get back into focus. Lost 125 lbs on cc 2 years ago and have gained back 23. I need this to stop. I am 54 years old and have struggled with eating and weight for all of my life. It is wonderful there are others who are wanting to get back on the track here.
My goal for the week is to write it all down, logging keeps me honest. I also don't want to gain anymore weight. Additionally my goal is to exercise for 2500 minutes this month. I am already at 857 minutes, so I can make it if I keep it up. My sub goal is to lose 5% of the weight I am now. I will let you all know on Friday the weight I am at, but will keep in touch before that.
I'm totally in, this is the kind of support I need.
I'm 5'1 at currently at 125-130 lbs.
Goal: 100 by mid August (before school starts up again)
I really want this, I just never realized it'd be so hard. I need all the guidance and motivation I can get. This is the first ever serious attempt at weight loss I've embarked on.
diet: Trying to stay under 1500 calories, ideally 1200.
exercise: working my way up to 30 minutes daily.
weaknesses: my big downfall was the college partying... alcohol really puts weight on you. I'm hoping during summer with the lack of college influences I'll be able to lose that beer belly.
occupation: college student
hobbies: eating if a favorite, unfortunately :( reading, second. i'm not too much of an outdoorsy girl.
I'm so in!
I'm 16, 5 ft 7in
Starting weight: 167.8 lbs
CW: 162.5 lbs
GW1: 150 lbs
GW2: 135 lbs
GW3 (we'll see about that one.. i want to stay healthy... but also be super fit!!):
125 lbs
Exercise: AT LEAST 1h per day!
Hi all, I'd love to join, I've been doing this half-assed for the past six months but today I felt like **** and I need to just get it done already. I have been floating around 129 the past few months but I think in the past few weeks I've gained a few more because almost all of my clothes are tight on me. I will bite the bullet and get on the scale in the morning. I would like to be 122 by the middle of June. It's not necessarily the number on the scale I'm worried about though, right now it's that I have a really serious muffin top and my clothes don't fit and I am extremely self-conscious about it. So I need to take some action.
Other details - I'm 28, 5'3", vegetarian, generally eat healthy at breakfast lunch and supper but I've gotten into a bad habit of snacking and having treats for no particular reason. I work in a sedentary job which I do not enjoy (but can't afford to quit). It keeps me inactive 7 hours a day, and makes me grumpy which makes me want to eat junk food!
Anniejohnson, 30-Day Shred is a workout DVD that involves doing an intense 20 minute workout every day for 30 days, at the end of which you're supposed to be "shredded." There are three levels - the first few days you do the Level I workout, then move on as you get stronger. I have been doing it once in a while, but I find every day too much.
im in on this one.. i was down to 122 three weeks ago now back up to 126 so upset i turned to food and alcohol.. i dont want to do the up and down crap anymore!!
stats: 5'5 126 lbs
my goal weight is 118.. and i want it soo bad. i work out about 6 days a week but my weakness is going out an d drinking which in turn makes me binge eat.. i usually do an hr of cardio with intervals and weight lifting.. gonna do alittle p90x too since my mom is doing it.. ive been eating 1200 cals but i need to up that i think to 1400.. i figure imnot eating enough and thats why i blow up when i eat bad.
age: 33
height: 5'3.5
current weight: 142 (started at 178.6 last July)
goal weight: was originally 140; I'm going to see if I can get down to 130ish)
diet: anything and everything; I try to stick to whole foods as much as possible; while I enjoy vegetarian foods I am not vegetarian; I love international cuisine and trying new foods; currently eating ~2000 cals/day and have been losing about 0.5 pounds/week doing so
exercise: walking (aiming for 10,000 steps/day on my pedometer), biking, I need to get back to strength training as I've been on hiatus from it for a month and a half; I'm losing the ability to do push-ups
weaknesses: chocolate; Bits and Bites
occupation: chemistry instructor
hobbies: board games, needlework (and other arts and crafts), nature, playing with cats
can I join or are u all full up?
i've found the same prob, i like updates n support pretty much every day so once a week is bit hard to stay motivated.
im 22 GW 140 CW 170 ive lost 8lbs in the last 2 weeks. i originally started jan 4th and lost 11lbs in 5 weeks, then i had a 10 week lull where i really really struggled to get back on track. did alot of soul searchin n gettin to no my own brain.
im determined to change my totally unhealthy thoughts n obsession with food. im pleased to say that it's workin n im ALOT happier. its a long road as i have 11yrs of brain retrainin to do :0) n with this kind of support wud be fantastic

Height: 5'1.5"
Current weight: 121.5
Goal weight: 105-108 lbs
And I'd love to get to 115 by June 25 as well...let's do it :) I'd love to be a part of this group. Friday weigh-ins is it? Can I join?
Just quickly about me: I'm vegetarian, small frame, exercise for at least an hour 5 days a week (I have bad knees so it's just powerwalking for me) and consume around 1400cals with a 700cal deficit per day. I recently fell off the wagon and I'm more determined than ever. Any help and support is greatly appreciated!
