Complex Carbohydrate Intolerance

Quote  |  Reply

Does anyone have CCI? I was just diagnosed, from my symptoms it looks like im going to have to live with it.

What foods should i eat?

I know i have to cut out complex carbs... but that makes up the majority of my diet!

Anyone have more info on CCI?

Thanks

I have not heard of this but I think with any health condition that takes out a major item from a diet like gluten etc a nutritionist can really help. Many doctors can write you a referral and your insurance then may cover. That way you can establish a good mp and meet all your needs

I agree with abbi333... Whoever gave you this diagnosis should have immediately referred you to a dietician for help with establishing a dietary plan that will help your condition.   You shouldn't be left to muddle through on your own or you're risking malnutrition.  Having an intolerance to sugary and starchy carbohydrates is a more common situation... features in conditions such as insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, PCOS, Type II Diabetes.... and is relatively easy to adapt to.   An intolerance to complex carbohydrates is less common and you need specialist advice.

Dude just follow Atkins's (version from 1972) Induction plan.  It is perfect for your condition.
