So, every day for the last 3 months, my coworkers have watched me diligently leave the office with my gym bag at 11:55 and return at 1:05. They have watched me hoard the water from the drinking fountain and limp around the office on days when my trainer has kicked my ass. Today, 2 of the women complimented me on how well I'm doing and said that they noticed that I'm looking a lot trimmer and leaner than before. Yay!!!! It's been hard for me to notice changes - mostly because the scale is mean to me (doesn't register much of a weight loss) and the tape measure hates my guts (doesn't show much more than a half inch of loss on any one part of my body). Maybe I'm just losing weight in places I'm not measuring?!?!?!? In any case, I don't care - someone noticed that I'm looking better!!! That makes me smile :)

Cool
Awesome - It's always nice when someone notices all the hard work you've been doing and lets you know it's paying of :-)
That's so great. I'm glad that you are getting noticed. Sometimes it's so much harder for us to see the changes in us because we are with each other every day.

Keep up the good work :)

Congrads!  It is such a motivator when people notice - it gives me the extra push to keep going! :)
Yea!
Hurrah!!
Its great when people notice that's you've been trying. Sometimes i get the "you're looking thinner. Are you sick? Have you been eating ok" and that annoys me but when people say "you're looking more toned. You go to the gym heaps, right?" It feels much better!

Hope those compliments keep coming! You deserve it!
red_herring.  I get the "Are you sick?" thing once in a while also.  I just laugh because that's how drastic a change it is for someone to see you change weight after not seeing you for even a short while.  I just take it as a compliment.

The fact is that people notice.  Sure, you dont' want to look like you are the walking dead, but they are likely commenting on how thin you look.  Now that we're headed towards Winter I'm sure that even skin-tone will play a factor in what people say about us who are on a weight loss program.  I'm sure that folks have received compliments about looking "great" just by having a nice tan during the summer.

The point I'm trying to make is that it's great when any of us get compliments in the form of people noticing a change in our bodies.
