Concerned...please read
So I started excercising not so long ago (About a week and a half ago) and Ive been doing 3 to 4 days straight of elliptical and then I take a break of a day and then go back to it once again....it adds up to 5 days of excercising...
Now Im a bit concerned, because Im supposed to be mid cycle of my period...and I havent felt any pms symptoms like I always do at this time of the month....Im worried that this excercise will take away my period :(! I worked really ahrd to get it back and it sucks that this may be a cause for it to go away.....Im not losing weight ( I eat back all that I burn) and I eat well above 1,500 cals....also I only do 35 mins of workout so its not over excercising (15 in the morning and then 20 in the afternoon)
what should I do? :S...shoudl I wait it out and see if the period comes or should i stop excercising?....
anyone had this happen to them before?
losing my period would be really devastating to me....I seriously dont want to lose it, sicne I was well on my way to a healthier lifestyle and this is just not fair...
anything is welcomed...
thanks
2 weeks of exercise is not enough to take away your period. Probably what's happening here is that the exercise is making you feel better, and lessening your pms.
really?
even that egg white discharge as well? :S
Im soooooooo worried...
maybe I shoudl try and calm down right? :(
we'll see...thanks
I too notice when I exercise my PMS becomes less intense and some months not at all. Try not to worry about it, just keep eating and exercising like you are. Take a deep breath and relax, stress can make your body do weird things too.
as soon as i started recovery i lost my period. a few months later i got it back...then i started exercising. i didnt get my normal mid-month 'symptoms' and was concerned, but its happened that way for 3 months now. i still get it-no problem!
this is all a learning process. keep doing what youre doing and wait till the end of the month-see what happens. if you lose it, i am sure itll only be temporary, but i doubt it. at this point youre probably just seeing the relief of some symptoms. before my ED i'd get this when i'd workout (not excessivly)
i think itll be ok :) just wait and see and if youre concerned ask your doc. but it doesnt sound excessive at all. maybe, if youre super concerned, take it easy on the exercise for the rest of the month till you know for sure
