Today, I've decided to treat myself to an In-n-Out Burger...
...and fries. :)
And guess what! I'm still going to have about 400 cals left for the rest of the day! I love counting calories. A few months ago I would have felt so guilty for eating In-n-Out, and now I can eat it almost 100% guilt free! (Of course, dinner will have to be low in fat, but still...)
Mmmmm In-n-Out. Anyone else treating themselves today?

It's one of my "not to be missed" foods when I go home to San Diego once a year. That and Carne Asada burritos.
Good for you, by the way. It's healthy and enlightening to realize that there is no need to feel guilty about the food choices you make so long as on the whole they're balanced and nutritional.
Today I ran 20km (around 2 hours) and technically can eat any darn thing I want to. Yet I'm not all that hungry and haven't even been tempted to eat "splurge" foods -- probably because I went to a wedding on Sunday where counting calories is an exercise in frustration because a traditional italian wedding lunch is easily upwards of 3000 calories.
Come to think of it, good thing I'm NOT very hungry today. I can use the deficit!
Also a possibility, In and Out hidden menu item - Protein burger - has lettuce all around, no bun
by the way, stay away from their milkshakes!! Loaded with calories and fat

Good for you! I treated myself last night with chinese takeout (my favorite)... but instead of kung pow chicken like I used to get, I had veggie low mein. And because I planned for the meal, I even had room for an eggroll. :-)
One thing I always do to is drink extra water after treating myself with takeout. I've found that even when it fits in my calories for the day the extra sodium can through off the scale the next morning. I drank a bunch of water last night and still had a loss this morning!
Oooh, me me me! I'm cooking for my boyfriend and I and we're making chicken fajitas with red bell pepper and onion, saffron rice, black beans, tortillas and tequila lime salsa...and white wine ;)
mmm in n out. i envy you. I only have about that much left for my day. my in n out downfall is their shakes. THAT will kill ya ;)

Words cannot describe how awesome my cheeseburger and fries were. Very glad I decided not to ignore that craving. :)
And it's a very very good thing I don't like their milkshakes, otherwise my meal would have totaled about 1600 calories, which would just be ridiculous. About 900 for a burger and fries sounds less scary, although still not the type of stuff you want to be eating everyday. More like every few years or so. Haha.
Oh, and goodchoices, I've never tried the protein burger, although I love their hidden menu grilled cheese. (yum!) Is it comparable to the beauty of the actual burger, or do you just end up feeling cheated?

not to sound too proud of myself, but i feel like im splurging every ngiht... but thats jus cuz im such a good cook lol. My bf alot of times cant believe what ive made is good for you... except inthe case of my ratatouille (cuz its all veggies). Tonight im making polenta w parm n cheddar in it (just enough shap cheddar to taste it), salad with homemade ceasar dressing (thats only 90some calories per 2 T). This weekend im making a pork loin with fig port sauce (thats kinda high in calories but for the whole dinner will be 600)(and to cut more i might make it with pork tenderloin) with pesto mashed potatoes. mmmm i cant wait lol.
I LOVE In-n-Out... do you live anywhere near Oceanside? My FAVORITE place to go for burgars n fris/zucchini/onionrings is Angelos... mmmmm.... soooooo good! It is a small chain that is only on Coast Hwy theres like 5 of em within a few miles. I miss being cose enough to be able to go... Im 30 miles away now. If i want a burger my bf is not so willing to go so far :(

I miss In-N-Out - we moved away from California 3 years ago, and it's the ONE thing I still just absolutely miss, crave and would almost kill for.

I love pizza, but only eat it once every couple of weeks. Too many calories that I could eat from something else and be more satisfied. I could eat pizza til I blow up!
Nope no treats today - my treats are typically either, prepared foods from Whole Foods or take out Sashimi... but tonight instead I made steel head trout & roasted zucchini, onion & mushrooms which was pretty good in itself - I am trying to finish up all my food that I can eat before going to the store, although I have something in mind I may want to make for dinner tomorrow night which might make me go get a few ingredients! ugh! lol
I learned not to treat with food.I dont miss anything from my diet.I made myself hungry and wanting to eat many things for waaaaaay too long.So now I loose weight slowly and I dont need treats.Actually thats a lie...Ido treat myself but with new clothes or underwear:))
my grandma's taking me out to red lobstar for dinner tonight, but the thing i'm ordering is like, 500 calories. but yes, it's a treat :)
