I only lost 1 pound in two weeks......I did eat at Olive Garden and had pasta with alfredo sauce. And I admit I ate one Reece's cup and i did not drink 1 gal a day for 3 days last week. I did drink water just not 1 gal for those three days. And I only exercised for 3 days instead of 5. But this week I am back on track I thought that I would have lost the weight by now. Tomorrow is my birthday and I wanted to reach my goal, which is now 10 lbs away. No birthday cake for me. I had to tell somebody that I cheated.

pah!
some days I eat more than others. some days I excerise more than others. some days I just want what I want.
because I'm human. and so are you. have a small slice of birthday cake on the day celebrating you. because it's only once a year.
and c'mon! it's CAKE!!

Thanks but i would just be feeling reeally guilty if I did and the guilt would drive me crazy. and one else want to confess?
Here's something to make all y'all feel better hopefully... It all started on Thursday, I had a low-fat pudding cup for lunch (fine), then I had some chocolate mini eggs (they were everywhere in the office), then I had Tim Horton's cookies (4 of them), then I had TimBits (donut holes)... lots of them... I was the last person in the office, so the receptionist gave me the rest of them to take home. Baaaaaad idea. I ate a bite out of three of them and threw the other half away (don't ask why), then I got pissed off and threw the box in the garbage. 2 minutes later... I'm digging threw the garbage to see if any of the TimBits had survived (hadn't fallen out of the box and into the actual garbage). Well, one had survived. So I ate it. I ate food out of the GARBAGE can!!! AHHH!!!!!!!!! If that's not sad, I dunno what is. The rest of the weekend was pretty bad food-wise too... and I haven't had a decent workout since last Wednesday :) Tomorrow... I swear I'll get back on track tomorrow...
BabyD, I am so thrilled that it is a 2 hour drive one way to the nearest Tim Horton's and that gas here on the island is about $5.85 USD per US gallon. Last year we use to take midnight trips just for a donut, but this year, because of the high cost of gasoline, it's really going to be a lifesaver for making healthy eating choices.
5.85USD/gallon???? HOLY SH*T! That's insane!
You still have to live life!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, enjoy yourself, and don't feel too guilty! We all give in sometimes, it happens! Instead, of focusing on the bad (those couple times you cheated), focus on the times that you didn't. Be proud of yourself for the steps you've taken already, for trying to eat healthy, and for going to the gym, those times count too! Don't let the bad outweigh all the good you have been doing to!!
So, Come'on it's your birthday, this is a celebration, so don't be too hard on yourself! Maybe your goal will take alittle longer to reach, but hey, when you get there you'll know that you really worked for it. Not to mention if you get there too quickly, without really learning from the experience, it will be all the more diffuclt to maintain!
I went over my calorie count today, and I didn't excerise friday. I also ate a cookie from Tim Horton's today, but I did exercise! It's all the in process, changing your eating habits, and life style, doesn't happen overnight! Plus, one cookie didn't make anyone fat (lets just not go tooo overboard).

babyd, you mad me laugh. It reminded me of that episode in Sex in the City when Maranda ate the cholate cake from the trash. I can honestly say that I have never done that. But I have never heard of those cookies.. they must be good! I have commited those sins last week and this week ill be paying for them. I am turning 29 , I cant belive it almost 30. I feel so old!
I know it's insanely hard (I had a mini-meltdown when I turned 20 for crissakes! I've gotten better now..) but try not to focus on the numbers. You're only as old as you feel (mentally I'm only about 16 :P). Age is just the number of years you've been on this planet. It just means that you've had more experiences than people who are 29 and under. Nothing wrong with that!
Happy early Birthday! .. and have a piece of cake, you deserve it!

Tim Horton's cookies are the worst! They are 6 for 2 dollars! 6 FOR TWO DOLLARS! That's a tonnie (Canadian Talk)... you can't just buy one! And even if you buy 6 and plan on sharing.. well they are just so wonderful, that by the time you are home, they are all gone!
and yes, its impossible to eat just one timbit!
Hahah loved the story babyd (very sex and the city) lol

Did you also know that Canada exports more gasoline to the US than any country in the Middle East? Yet, Canadian pay twice as much for gas. Nothing every makes any sense.
4KK9, Yeah, I know about the twonie =) I find the cookies are better if you leave them in the bag, fold it over and let it set overnight. 6 Timmies cookies for breakfast. Oh, those were good days. Bad, so very bad, but good.

This week has been terrible
It all started last Tuesday.
I had a date, so I kept my calorie count low at lunch anticipating eating out for dinner. I only had raw veggies for lunch, but I ate enough to be full. Then I went out on my date and ate a HUGE piece of tiramisu. the entire thing. I felt like vomiting from disgust because it was so big and rich.
Wednesday night was passover. I ate enough Matzah to feed a small family. then I had a lovely dinner of turkey, covered in gravy, and potato casserole.
Thursday I was good.
Friday I was good except for one cookie at lunch, and then I ate chinese food at midnight.
Saturday I didn't work out.
Sunday I didn't work out and I ate Chicken Marsala at work. OMG it was so good.
Monday, today, I was good. I went back to the gym and I kept it real.
Hopefully I'm back on track now. I just spent a week not losing anything, I'm actually up .8 lbs or something since wednesday.

For birthdays and holidays, don't feel guilty if you eat a bit of cake or pie or whatever. Just plan it into your calories, and watch what you eat the rest of the day. So long as you don't go too overboard, and get right back on the wagon the next day, you should be fine.
I did it I made it through w/ no birthday cake!!!!!!
you're a strong woman felicia! I couldn't have skipped out on my own birthdaycake :)
I HAD VISITORS!!!
Nothing worse than having people over - I always miss my workout, because i dont want to be a sweaty bike pig in front of everyone... I walked one night, but it was cold :( Didn't go far. They were here 4 days- left this morning...
But let me tell you- visitors = barbeques and restaurants. It has NOT been pretty.
Back on track tomorrow.
