I noticed that below the grade of an item there is a "confidence" percent...
What does that percentage mean? Sorry if this question has been posted already...I didn't see anything about it. Thanks!!

I've never noticed / seen that, but I assume it has something to do with accuracy.
ie - the amount shown above is 70% accurate.
I dunno.

Hrmm... doesn't show that for me. Oh, now I see it... not sure what it means. The nutrition info matches the info on the label of my soymilk, but it only gives 48% confidence... no clue what that means.
It's how confident the measure is. LIke when someone asks you a question and you are kinda unsure you might say " I'm 60% confident x is the right answer".
It's the % of acuracy the statement is for sure. If you take a statistics class, you'll use statements like this.
I hope that helps.

I don't think it's the accuracy of statements this time. The number of confidence says how much vitamins and minerals are known for the product to contain. You can see that it's always higher for foods that have a lot of information on the label and is lower (or you can't even see it) when you have less information about it.
It's just logical ;).
My understanding of statistical 'confidence' is that when you select a confidence level, such as 95%, it means that if you measure that parameter 100 times, you will get that answer (or within a certain range) 95 times. I sure hope I'm right about that definition, or my thesis is going to need some more revisions ;)
