The body is really confusing sometimes, isn't it! I would still up your cals. There's a pretty good chance that this is all water weight. Did you eat something with a lot of sodium? That might be a contributing factor..

Either way, I think you should still up your cals. Whether you realize it or not, your metabolism is speeding up! In order to compensate for that, you'll definitely need more cals to continue gaining. Good luck!!! :)

funnily i have been drinking alot and i feel full of wind

weight gain isn't always consistent and your weight can fluctuate 5 pounds in a single day. i don't think it really matters how much you think you gained this week. if you average the two weeks that's only 1.5 pounds per week. really, that's quite good considering that would mean you would essentially have  a maintenance target of about 1750 sedentary since to gain 1.5 pounds per week you'd have to eat 750 calories over maintenance. So, really I would say you should be quite happy. That's not even to say that you actually gained 2 pounds, but ask yourself what difference it would make to get to your goal sooner if recovery is truly what you want. don't worry so much about it. this week coming might be another 1 pound week, or even less. Just be consistent and your metabolism will be soaring!!

Bear in mind metabolism is partly a function of bodyweight. The more you weigh, the more energy you burn each day... so your metabolism is automatically increasing with each pound.

I don't know how many more ways it can be said, but you should be increasing calories as you need to according to hunger (which you can gauge) as opposed to metabolism, which you can't measure without having complex tests done. What your metabolism is or isn't doing is really not important right now. How well you are able to feed yourself in response to increased hunger? Yes, that is important.

thanks chrissy and meryl , it makes sence what youare both saying and it helps knowing you have both been through weigh restoration , i think im a born worrier :)

People who are not on weight gain fluctuate by a few pounds from day to day. Your body is not a calculator. Lets look at the facts at the moment. This is what I have been suggesed when I am torn. Ok you are hungry correct on the current plan? You are underweight still? You have health issues? No period? These are all facts and reasons to increase and get to your weight. I am a worrier too as you know aka why I have been up all night. Worry and anxiety is me. But we also worry in our ed so what is better worry and be underweight with health issues or worry and be reg weight and then you can just focus on the mental side. You can do this. Don't forget we all may be far away but friends are always close to the heart. I think a smart lady said that to me(you remember). We are all behind me

thankyou abbi you are so right you are a true friend together we can beat this h xx
