Today's analysis of my food showed 13 mg of cholesterol, how could that be?   are there vegan sources of cholesterol?

Nothing vegan contains cholesterol, what did you eat?
I had this problem too so I went through all of my foods, taking things out one at a time to find out what it could be. Turns out, my VEGAN bread is listed on this website with 15 mg of cholesterol. I just checked the package and the package says 0 mg. Play with your log and see what you get.

Tongue out anyone else here Raw Vegan? I really would like to hhok up with others sharing my sometimes aggravating experience. For example, the products are horrendously expensive, unless you are just eating fruit and veg. I have felt better than I have in years, no EVER. I love this lifestyle, however, I am still going through a serious adjustment period, not to mention about $600 since i started all this a week ago. That includes getting discounted items on-line. I am open to anyone who wants to write--even meat heads, lol.

Something else that bugs me is the fact that A LOT of the RAW products don't even list the nutritional  info, what the crap is up with that? I thought that it was a law?

And the stuff is REALLY high in fat, cals, at least the ready made is (if its listed).

Thanks for your responses, I can't remember but I know it was completely vegan since I made everything from scratch, except the bread, which is vegan, I'll have to check that too.

Hey dragon, sorry to hear that going raw is soo expensive, I've heard amazing things about it though.

Just one question, do you feel satisfied?  Is it cold where you live, it's -28 celcius on days this cold I really want hot food....how's it working out for you?

Its FABULOUS!!!!! I have lost 10 lbs since 1.13.08! I can eat warm food if i wish, the rule is not over 110' for over 30 mins. so if i want to warm up some nice mushroom soup etc, i do. But thanks for asking. My main gripe is people asking about protein. If folks only knew how much nutrition and protein is in EVERY fruit and veg, they would be amazed. Protein is not as important as the average person has been led to believe by the BEEF people and USDA. I wish everyone would take the time to LEARN about nutrition rather than assuming something they have been spoon fed by TV.

Sorry, rant over. One last point, though: NO ONE has had a protein deficiency in this country probably EVER. There was a website that has the protein percentages for fruit and veg that can be googled--if anyone is interested. Bottom line, fruit and veg protein is more nutritionally complete than ANY meat product.

ok, I promise to get off my soapbox now. I am sorry it is so cold where you are, I am in NoCAL and it has been frigid here as well, it snowed a couple days ago but it didn't stick. We ahave been pretty lucky.Cool
