So confused, can someone help me calculate this?

Okay, so after re-doiing my stats because I'm no longer sedentary, I have no idea how to determine my calories required to lose weight...

I'm five foot five inches

CC says my target daily calories are 2050.

But how the heck to I calculate the calories to lose?? Ugh..sorry, I just don't get it.

thanks.

Sara

I'm not the most articulate person when it comes to explaining stuff, but I'll give it a try.

Keep your activity set at sedentary- then add on your burned calories. The way I calculate it is this- set at sedentary to get your BMR (basal metabolic rate). Add your burned calories and substract your deficit to see how much your intake should be.

Use the phord calculator.  I hope I've explained it clearly...   :S

Go to tools--> Calorie Target and it will walk you through the process.

I just run with five hundred less than I need to maintain my weight at my activity level.
