Okay, well, I think I'm doing something right... I weighed 148 in December, and when I joined this website, I weighed 143ish... I'm now down to 136 (what I weighed in at the doctors on Friday)... but here's my thing... I still have some extra weight (well, okay, it's not extra weight, it's fat) that I'm dealing with...

So... here's my question... with my goal weight being 125.. Should I try to work on getting down to 125 and then working on getting toned, or should I just worked on getting toned? Because I know that fat turns to muscle, and I really don't want what I have on now to turn to muscle, b/c I'd bulk up and look huge.

Any advice?

There's no way you'd bulk up.  If you're eating a calorie deficit, it will be very very hard to gain any muscle.   Since losing weight by restricting calories gets rid of a mix of fat and muscle, lifting weights now can help you keep what muscle you do have.  You won't get huge, I promise.

If you look in my gallery, you'll see what I mean... I got extra "baggage" around my lower stomach and hips... I'm a muffin top.. LOL.

So... what exercises should I be doing then? I normally start out with about 30 to 45 minutes of racquet ball.. it gets me feeling pretty good and ready to go. Then I usually ride the stationary bike for about 15 minutes, and do about 30 minutes of lifting. I normally do this three times a week.

Hi, My goal 125 as well. I'm at 132.5 now. My favorite exercises to burn tons of calories and firm up is kickboxing and body works classes (1 hour).  The "body works" classes are the ones where you do weight training (free weights) w/out stopping from muscle group to muscle group. It really gets your heart-rate up!  If you don't belong to a gym, do The Firm DVDs - they are great!

The Jari Love dvd's are great too.  they tone and get that heart rate up.  i love this series!
