High maintenance or low maintenance? (or perhaps friends and partners should be answering this question). Wink

I am and always have been high maintenance, however these days I am more aware of this and that I expect just way to much input from people that I try and keep it under control a bit more and not be quite so demanding.

But I do still struggle sometimes Laughing

low maintenance

I always think that I'm low maintenance.  As in, I don't wear make-up, I don't blow dry my hair, etc.  I can be clean and out of the house in about 20 minutes.

But for some reason, whenever I claim I'm low maintenance, my hubby/friends just LAUGH at me.  I think it's because I'm a little bit OCD, and I need certain things to be in a particular way, or it upsets me.

Like kaffwynn, I'm also low-maintenance in the sense that I don't wear make-up and can pretty much wake up, roll out of bed, and be ready in 5-10 minutes. However, I guess I can be high-maintenance at times. I can also be a bit OCD and picky about certain things and I tend to indulge in retail therapy more often than I should :p.

I am low maintenance, and could likely stand to be a little more high maintenance....I never really demand anything from anyone. Sometimes that can end up in doormat territory. I think I'd like to be somewhere in the middle, balance in all things and all that...medium maintenance.

I think i am low maintenance in that i don't take forever to get ready and change my outfits a million times but i think i am high maintenance in that i am a time demanding person lol. I love talking and interacting with whoever i am with so when my boyfriend comes home or i am with my parents, i just chat and chat and chat about anything really because i like interaction. I don't expect us to go out places 24/7 but even if we are at home, i like doing things together and therefore, i become high maintenance lol.

Low Maintenance and down to earth chick. Though I have my days where I want to look good and feel special, but most of the time now days I'm like to hell with it! As long as I have all of my clothes on, hair brushed and smell ok I'm good! :P

I wear make up and fix my hair... however, it takes a total of 15 minutes (including blowdrying) for me to do those things.

I'd say I'm low maintenance.

Per my hubby (and I have to agree with him on this one) - I think I'm low maintenance, but I'm actually high maintenance.

im pretty low maintence.  the only thing that im becoming more high maintenance about is food.  i try to eat the quality foods vs. the cheap, easy, unhealthy foods.   i kind of feel guilty about it because i dont want to be a picky person, but i also know its important.

I doubt that we ourselves are able to make this judgement about ourselves.

How much maintenance you require in in the Eye of the Maintainer.

Definitely low maintenance. Boyfriend agrees.

I am super high maintenance.

Which means it takes me 20 minutes to pick out an outfit, I change about 6 times before I decide, I do my hair every morning, I do my makeup every morning, I never go out in public "undone" and if I am having a bad hair day it wrecks my day. If my makeup is smudged I HAVE to fix it and I literally powder my nose like 3 times a day. I whiten my teeth like crazy, clean my shoes, shower for about 20 minutes and have about every perfume in existence.

everyone that knows me personally would agree. My boyfriend would agree, SUPER agree.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm high maintenance.  I have high expectations and I do what needs to be done to make sure they're met.  I have specific ideas/standards of the way I like things to be.  My boyfriend (whom I live with) frequently teases me about it.

I don't take that long to get ready to go out though.  And I leave the house without makeup all the time.  I used to be really high maintenance about that stuff, when I was overweight.

low maintenance for most things, but I do tend to get easily distracted and take an additional 20 minutes to get ready to go out sometimes.

I am low maintenance...I guess.

You will never hear me ask to change anything on a restaurant menu, never give ultimatums (I just find the door), don't care where my friends and I go out to eat, will eat almost any type of food, my housemate has no complaints, I get my hair cut at Greatclips or Supercuts (never sure which it is), could care less about brand names and large purses (more of a wallet girl) and if I do get prettied up...it's okay if I get rained on.

However, I'm not even close to being a doormat. I don't have trouble saying "no" and people who know me never dare to push me after I've stated my position. Those who don't know me learn quickly.

I am low maintenance - wash and go lol

Hmmm, that's a hard one.

Living in a big city, I feel like there's a lot of pressure to be fashionable and look good, so I make an effort to take care of myself. At the same time, though, as soon as I step through the door at night, the pj's go on, haha. I have been called picky before, but... I just know what I like Cool

Personality-wise, I think I'm a really easy person to be around. I don't demand anything from people, and I don't require constant stimulation or talking. Even little things make me excited, so I don't have huge expectations to be fulfilled, either.

Can I just say "mid-maintenance?"

Can I be middle maintenance?  It depends on the situation.

I wear make-up and style my hair for work or particular events/parties.  Other than that, I don't bother.

Then there are the expectations that I have.  I expect people to be punctual, honest, and hard-working.  But I also understand that sometimes some of those things aren't possible (being late b/c you got a flat tire...).

We're talking about socially? Totally High Maintenance. I'm a Leo and I expect to be the Center of Attention. :D

As far as how quickly it takes me to get ready, Low Maintenance.

HK you got what I was meaning :D

yeah i was kind of meaning personality/emotionally/socially wise not so much how long it takes to get ready to go out.

But good to see that not too many women fuss over make-up.
