would this be considered moderate activity level?
Hi everybody! Just looking for some advice about my activity level. I do 4 mile power walk 6 days a weekly, and thru out my workday, during my 3 15 minute breaks, i walk at an easy pace 2 mph approx. I work 4 days weekly. my job is considered sedentary, but I do get up and move as much as possible. On my days off , along with my 4 miles I include weights with my walk. Would this be considered moderate? Thanks!
the best way to determine your activity level is to put on a pedometer and record your steps throughout the day for a couple of days.
sedentary 0 (miles) or less than 9,400 (steps)
somewhat active up to 4 (miles) or up to 9,400 (steps) (lightly active)
active 4 to 10 (miles) or 9,400 to 23,500 (steps) (Moderately active)
very active more than 10 (miles) or more than 23,500 (steps)
If you include any exercises those exercises should only represent activity that is in addition to that represented by your activity level
thank you for your very helpful reply! Actually, i do wear a pedometer. my steps per day on average are 18,000 to 20,000, so now i know, and thank u so much!:)
