I am having one of those days where I feel constantly hungry. I eat 5 small meals a day, 1500 calories, so my body is used to getting little things here and there. But it's like every hour my body wants more and more food. Does this happen to anyone else and how do you curve your appetite so that you don't overeat?

If I have a Hunger attack, I grab Ice cold glass of water and shove a piece of sugar free gum in my yuck.
That's a good idea. Thanks!
me too, I go for the water first, if that doesn't help, I keep nuts around 1 almond is only 7 calories.
well i hate water.....so it is hard for me to turn to it  have your tried popcorn....low cal and  you can just munch a little each time you are hungary

How much actual food are you eating for the 1500 calories... I've found that when I'm really hungry all the time, is when I'm eating a small amount of food versus the amount of calories in it...

in other words...look for ways to up the actual amount of food...like lots of veggies stir fried with 1 cup of brown rice... instead of a lean cruisine ...
i used to be hungry all the tiem until i started eating spinach. a whole cup of it is a mere 41 calories--- and its SO filling. My second secret is no sugar added oatmeal (I add spelnda)... its SO fillnig as well. I find that those two things have the least amt of calories for the amt of satiation they create!!!

good luck!
I eat severa times a day (Planned) and I've noticed that if I eat protein with carbohydrates, I'm not as hungry between meals. So don't just eat a dish of fruit, or a rice cake without also eating a bit of protein like some low fat cottage cheese or a bit of meat.

I think that the sugars in fruit and the starches in crackers or rice cakes set off my blood sugar to crave more sugar or starch.
To curb hunger, I usually like to take Fiber supplements along with a BIG glass of water, and the fact that you don't like water might make you lose your appetite even more...

If that's not your thing, try eating an apple (VERY filling) or my favorite, raw spinach. I can eat leaves of baby spinach like potato chips, and you would have to eat alot alot of spinach to do any damage, calorie-wise.

A doc recently told me if you are hungry between meals or snacks then you did not eat enough protein at the prior meal so look at what you ate and see how you can add some protein. and he also added if you are hungry it is your stomach acid talking to chew two tums and a big glass of water, I did they daily for the first few days at 10 am trying to make it to lunch and it works. and while dieting we can all use the extra calcium so it is really a two for one
