Have you talked to your doctor? I find that the fiber does it for me.
Have you tried drinking more water as well? Water and fibre go hand-in-hand.
Drink Water, warm bath, and dried apricots.
When I volunteered in an old person's home; that's what the standard was. NOT that you're an old person.. just passing the info on.

Traditional Medicinals makes a tea called Smooth Move. You can find it in health food stores and sometimes in the supermarket with the herbal teas. It works and is very gentle. The nice thing is, you can brew a cup and drink a little at a time all day go get things started.
If this is a chronic problem for you, I'd talk to the doctor.

I agree - you may need the help of a doctor.
If you eat 25-35 grams of fiber a day, drink 64 oz of water a day and you are still constipated, you probably have a condition that requires medical assistance.
Another thing to ask yourself is, do I feel more bloated after eating something with wheat in it, like bread or pasta? -- because some people have difficulty digesting the gluten in wheat and bloat is a major symptom of this, along with IBS. If it goes away when you cut out wheat, that would be a clue for you. But I would still go to the doctor.

With animals it can also tear the colon and stuff, i cant be arsed (no pun intended) to go though the whole thing and explain it but im not sureif it can happen to people too...
so see a DOCTOR!
ON the other hand, you could just need a damn good curry :)

cut back a bit on the fiber and increase WATER!!!
Yeah, you don't wanna load up on too much fiber...cause when that comes out, OUCH. It's gonna be rock hard and make you cry...trust me, haha.
Drink more water, maybe even inject some apple juice or prune juice into your diet. Those always seem to uhhh...get things going along for me :)

Trust me... I had the same problem a few weeks ago... but I ate some fresh pineapple and woosh! It worked!
I thought fiber was supposed to MAKE you go... oops! Josh, what do you have to eat to make your poo NOT rock-hard and making you want to cry?
Also, is there something I can do to make myself need to go early in the morning? I find I ususally go somewhere between 10-11am, but it would be better if it was at like... 7. LMAO I don't know if any of you find this question entirely distasteful... but I kinda want to know! :)

I cannot take too much fiber or I swell up like a balloon! I've tried everything for constipation and have been to my dr. multiple times (no good results their stumped). The only thing I've found that helps is taking 2 stool softener capsules a day (240 mg) and drink plenty of water and exercise every day. Does not relieve the problem completely, but beats not going at all!
i drink water all day... eat all bran in the morning and have a mug of licorice tea at night....
yup constipation stinks - my gastroenterologist told me to get 35g of fiber a day, and use 250mg of stool softener a day (but the capsuls are 100mg I think, so I just take 2 a day). I recommend the stool softener, but MAKE SURE you get the kind WITHOUT a laxative! Basically it's just oil that mixes with the stool, softening it. This can help prevent the painful part (and hemmoroids) when it all comes out...
liquid parafin works
A few things i changed to my diet, which looks like has worked for me so far... all natural remedies...
1) I have atleast 4 teaspoons of honey in a day... you can take upto 6... i usually break it up by adding to my soy milk morning and night..and 1 teaspoon to a glass of lukewarm water first thing in the morning with half a lime juice.. and then just having 1 teaspoon as directly
2) i have 3 teaspoons of whole flax seeds... i add it to my soy milk... one in the morning and one in the night.. and once i just eat one directly...
3) i dont take milk anymore.. only light soy milk...
4) when i started my healthy diet... i ate only about 1 to 2 teaspoons of oil in my food everyday... now i increased that to 3 or 4 teaspoons of oil... i use extra virgin olive oil... since i cook all my meals.. i am able to control that.. very less oil in your diet is one the reasons you get constipated...
5) if i feel i haven't had enough oil in my daily diet for a day... i end the day with 1 tablespoon of olive oil mixed with 1 tablespoon of lime juice... that is one thing that i think really helped me get over the constipation period...
6) i eat atleast 2 whole fruits a day.. like an apple, orange, pear, peach etc... and i also add some berries to the soy milk that i drink... i also add a cup of fresh raw veggies (or garden salad) each to my lunch and dinner meal..
7) when i started dieting, i used to eat only about 1200 calories a day.... now i'm eating atleast 1500 calories a day.... with all the stuff i added above... and i am still losing weight...
8) earlier I used to get only 18 to 20 grams of fiber a day? but now I get about 35 to 45 grams of fiber each day with all the stuff I added above? maybe that?s what got over the constipation? I really don?t know? because I dare not eliminate anything? maybe reduce it over time?
9) It is known.. that if you are constipation, you must have atleast 35 grams of fiber in a day..
10) stay away from refined products as much as possible, such as white rice, sugar, and other packaged foods. They make Constipation worse.
10) The days I?m not able to get all the fiber in my diet, I take a natual fiber supplement powder, each heaping teaspoon adds 5 grams of fiber? ?But I try to add fiber through my diet.. not through supplements..
11) When you write down each meal in your log? check the fiber content? I usually try to aim for 12 grams of fiber in each meal? If I don?t get that? that?s when I take a supplement? a hi fiber cereal really helps for breakfast? like uncle sams wheat flakes?
12) I didn?t cut down on my regular food when I added all the above to my diet? that?s why I take about 1500 calories a day now? and the truth is ? the slower you lose weight.. the longer it will keep off?
13) All the changes I made? are to my eating lifestyle.. not just for dieting?
14) I have already lost 24 pounds? and I started seriously on feb 20th? today is April 10th?

i forgot to mention that...
SIP WATER ALL DAY LONG... for every 50 pounds of your weight, you should drink atleast 1 liter of water... and when you increase fiber in your diet.. you should automatically crave more water...

500 mg of Vitamin C helps me a lot too.
maybe you have IBS like me. I get constipated from being stressed ugh... it's annoying. You should look it up and see if you might have that and see what diet changes you could do to help relieve it
has any one tried those herbal teas " 3 ballerinas" there suppose to be safe enough to take everyday (nutritionist told me that) i dont but i do take it once or twice a week or as needed
