Welcome Lillys We are glad to have you Join.

I would like to know alittle about you guys.

Where do you ladies live?I live in a town called Centralia in Washington State half way between Seattle and Portland. I have lived here my whole life. Although I spent 5 years in Scottsdale AZ after highschool)

What do you do for a living? I run my father's vegetation management company from home while being a stay at home mom for my 2 kids.

What do you really want to do once you reach your goal? I really want to be sexy for my husband and be able to be confident in the way I look and go shopping someplace other then the fat lady stores.

Monday is approaching! good luck.

Last weigh in 184

Today 183.4

This is the point where I shed some tears and flip out. I didnt weigh myself all week, which was very very hard! I was so excited to get on the scale, I ate perfect, exercised every single day for an hour if not a little more. And this is what I get. I might as well eat like a pig .

Sorry, just frustrated.

Good morning everyone.  I have been feeling great this past week.  Losing weight is really helping my attitude. I have been pretty grumpy for a while now.  My husband has noticed a physical and mental difference already.

This week I lost 2.8 lbs.  ( not the biggest loser totals but ok by me)

Measurments hips 50.5 waist 46.5 chest 48.5

Hope everyone had a great week!

Tannis, great Job! at least you lost.  If you ate like a pig you would be more likely to gain.  I bet you will lose next week for sure. DONT GIVE UP!Wink

You said, "Im not sure on my measurements, but i am sure that i have ordered a wedding gown 2 sizes too small!!! Eeek!!"

Did you say you were getting married?

Good Morning ladies, Tannis86 hang in there, I feel your frustration. All week I ate right, walked and this weekend I had, you could say a butt bustin weekend. My husband, a friend of his, and I, cut down 2 60' Maple trees in the back of someone in needs house. My husband and his friend cuts and I haul the brush and logs. We didn't get paid and was just a friendly helping hand. Saturday we worked 61/2 hours and Sunday 8 1/2 hours. I am exhausted today, I almost called into work Im so tired. (oh, just in case I don't mean to offend anyone out there, the trees were dying and becoming a hazzard)But anyway the scale showed:

Start weight: 229.6

First week: 229 (1/2 lb. loss)

2nd week:228.4 (another 1/2 lb loss) Total: 1 lb lossFrown But I guess it still a loss.Smile

Hey valrocks40, I live in Janesville, Wisconsin. Just moved there 4 years ago. They have a ton of parks, and bike trails which is great in the summer for walking or bike riding. I grew up in Rochelle, Illinois.

I work in the accounting office of a car dealership. I do a/p, and analyzing accounts at month end, and reconciliation of accounts for two of their dealerships. We sell Cad/Saab/Porsche/Subaru at one, and Merc/Audi/Jag/Honda at the other. I'd like to say I drive one of these expensive cars, but I drive a Nissan Altima which I'm very happy with. I've been in the automobile business for 22 years.

I am very happily married, I never had children, but I have two step children, Patrick is 12 and Stephanie is 8. I've been with my husband since Steph was 1 1/2. They keep my going.

I guess my ultimate goal when I lose the weight is to be very healthy, but also would like the confidence of being sexy and being looked at because I was sexy, and not being looked or talked about because of being fat.

Good luck to all on week 3.Smile

It is very frustrating. There are two scales in our home. One is all fancy , and weighs me usually 5 pounds heavy. In other words I dont use it ever hehe. So when I weighed on my normal scale I was upset, so I pulled out the other one in another room and it weighed me only 1.6 pounds more. ( Can you tell im desperate to see the numbers I want?) I had my poor finance go on both scales and tell me what his difference was. He was 4.5 more on the ' fancy' scale.

Either way I think I am going to weigh in 2 times a week, I dont like waiting a full week to be upset, Id rather know where im at mid week.

Its awesome to get to know about each others lives. Yes I am getting married Val! Its still a ways away, January 22nd 2010. I bought my dress thinking i would be having a big winter wedding, once the planning began I decided TOO much stress too many people to please. So we will be having it at  www.lekliff.com  in Mexico. My gown made me hot in the store so i cant imagine in mexico. I just want to feel comfortable for once in my life with my body. I dont want to be shy or worried everyone is looking at this buldge or my flappy arms for that one day.

Last week: 146

This week: 149

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. Thats +3lb. Well, I knew it was going to happen. I went OTT last week. I was considering doing a detox this week. Has anyone here done one before? What are your experiences with them and do you have any advice?

Well done everyone! And tannis and brwnize - they are still great losses! Have you seen what a lb of fat actually looks like? Your doing amazingly so keep at it!

Tannis, congrats on getting married soon, it may seem far away but Im sure it will be here faster than you know and you'll be look'n good in that wedding dress. Don't get discouraged, I don't know how many times I wanted to throw the scale out the window, I've worked very hard for the past 4 years to lose the 70 lbs I have, it's coming off slowly but I would just like to get there and be on maintenance. I know when you work hard you would like to see the scale at least move, and it only moves a little its frustrating. That's when I get close of calling it quits, and I slap myself around, ha ha and tell myself I CAN DO THIS, and you can too.  Were all here for ya, were all doin it, and we'll all get there. Your going to look wonderful by the time your wedding gets here. Keep your head up, and have a great week, next week will be better.Smile

our contest starting weight: 198.5

last week's weight: 199

this week's weight: 198 (YAY!!!)

Congrats to tannis, valrocks and brwnize for their losses!  Remember, any loss is loss and is getting you toward your goal!  Slow and steady wins the race.  Malomadame, hang in there, you will get back on track next week.  At least you were kind of predicting your weight gain, so it didn't take you unawares.

Val, I instantly thought of a town in my home state of Pennsylvania when you mentioned you live in Centralia... except the PA town is not a very hospitable place!!  Check it out: http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/2196. I live in a small town called Mount Joy with my husband and two dogs.  It is a mostly rural/suburban area, but it is not a far drive to NY, Philly, DC, and such if one wants some big city entertainment.

My main drive(s) for weight loss are: Outwardly: to look better and feel better about myself and wear the clothes I like to wear without fat rolls.  Inwardly: to help out my poor arthritic knees by lessening their load and to keep diabetes and other runs-in-the-family health issues at bay.

melicious15 That is facinating about Centralia PA.  Thanks for the link. congratulations everyone on your loses. Malomadam you were expecting to gain and you did.  This week is a new chance. You can do it!

I appreciate your replys, I feel I know you a little better. Tannis congratulations on getting married! It is a wonderful thing.

Keep your goals in view! Monday is only 6.5 days away.

Thank you for the support everyone. I'm sure we have all had our 'special moments' with our scales...those ones where you feel as if you could actually run it over. I shouldn't be concerned with what the number said " but how my clothing fits", only thing is, everything fits just as bad! I will keep on and hold on for the long haul.

Did you guys lose weight for the wedding? Were you comfortable with your body that day or did you feel shy or unattractive? I will post some photos of the dress. It was the sample and the owner tied me as tight as she could, so I'm really hoping when it comes in that I can wear it, be happy - oh and be able to breathe. . . Oh and maybe with smaller arms and minus a little back fat spillage

Here's to hoping!

Tannis, and everyone one else, please don't take this the wrong way. But Tannis girlllll, you look gorgeous in that wedding dress. Buy the time your wedding is here, you'll be smok'n hot.Smile I don't think you have anything to worry about. Your dress is very beautiful, I got married on the Beach in Florida with my swimsuit on with a coverup. I was even about 35 lbs heavier then, yes I was self consious about myself, especially with my arms because there huge, Im not kidding about that. I have to keep them hidden from Colonial Sanders.LOL. I just tried not to think about how I looked, then I thought I'lll never see those people again so it was a tad easier. But looking at your pic, your good to go. Have a great week. :)

Thanks melomadame, can't wait to get where your at. You'll have a great week this week, I think alot of that was probably sodium water weight.

Melicious 15, good job, way to go. Good luck this week.

Valrocks, how in the heck are you pull'n those big #s? Awesome job, you'll be at that 50 mark in no time. Good luck this week, stay strong. Smile

Sorry I did not get my weight logged in Monday...I have been busy with homework!

My weight for last week 219

This week 218

Lost one pound....not a lot, but a loss is a loss!

Keep up the good work everyone!!

Tannis you look absolutely beautiful. On my profile I have a picture of my wedding day. I went on a crasher 3 months before the wedding and lost 15 lbs but gained a lot of it back before the Wedding. I weighed 207 in that picture in 2005. You will do great!

Jat_145 Good to see you, a pound lost is great!

Brwnize1967 Thanks. I have been working my elliptical 30 mins in the morning and take a 20 minute power bike ride around my neighborhood every night while my family is sleeping. They don't even know I am gone. I sleep great too cause I am so exhausted. I have been keeping my cals 1800-2000 per day. I am nursing too that might have something to do with it. I hope I can keep it up.

Jat_145 that's great, you lost a lb. I only lost .6 but there still a loss. Keep up the good work.

Valrocks40, I need to find that motivation, again, I was doing better when it was nice out. Now that it's back to being chilly, I hate being out when its cold. I'm going to try to make it in the gym this week. Have a great week. Keep up the the good work.

Dear Everyone,

I feel as I should update everyone. I weigh myself throughout the week, and as of today I have only lost . 3 pounds. Making that a loss of under 1 pound for the last two weeks. I have upped my exercise, I have been BUSTING my butt on the treadmill for over an hour , sometimes 1.5 hrs every day. Weights, crunches the works. I watch everything that goes into my mouth and needless to say this morning I was pissed. I have no other word to use, sorry to offend but I was mad. Again another week weigh in filled with tears.

...To which I let my finance know it was all his faulT. The more i see him eat popcorn drippin with butter, costco  pizza( which is 3 slices in one) and everythign else he wants, then guess what, he wakes up a pound lighter. He stopped drinking juice and lost 30 pounds in three months! So I have decided I blame him that I cant lose weight.

And my pants...still dont fit. Nothing, nadda.

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh

What is it with men and their bloody metabolisms. My ex ate whatever he wanted and put my appetite to shame, but he remained under-weight, while keeping up with him made me gain 20lb! Bah! Men!

Can you not ask him to save eating all the crap til you are out of the house? It does seem a little insnsitive of him.

Is there any chance you're gaining muscle and thats why you're not seeing the losses you want?

Oh, and Brwnize, thanks! That really cheered me up! I've been stuck on this plateau for so long now I almost forgot that I have made progress. Im 20lb down from Nov, so its getting there, albeit slowly!

Right, so monday weigh in....

Today: 147

Last week: 150

start weight: 146

So -3lb from last week but +1 overall. I think my aim is to get to 144 by the time term starts (so 3 weeks from now) as thats BMI 24 for me. Thats 1lb a week so should be doable.

I'm now on easter hols back at home, so away from the horrendous appetites of the boys I live with and the constant supply of home made cakes. Hopefully a few weeks away will do me some good, and it might be easier to resist next term if i get myself into a nice healthy routine!

Good luck for your weigh ins! Hope you all see some nice losses!

Good Morning everyone, I survived another weekend. I think cutting down the trees last weekend and going to the waterpark this weekend with my kids finally did it.  The scale finally moved more than 1/2 lb. WOO HOO.

Start weight-229.6

Week 1- 229  (.6 lb loss)

Week 2- 228.4 (.6 lb loss)

Week 3- 225.8 (2.6 lb loss woo hoo) Total= 3.8

I'll take measurements next Monday. Hope everyone had a great weekend, have a wonderful week, and stay strong.

Hey Tannis, keep your head up. Don't let the scale beat you, I know it's hard, like I said I've been on this since 2005, and when I see people losing 60-70 lbs in one year, Im like, what the hell, how come I can't do that. But I keep working at it, and it's a loss not a gain. It looks like your getting pretty close to your goal weight and it's going to be harder. Just curious, did you check your measurements? Oh, I agree with the man thing, my husband drives me crazy sometimes, it seems like he can take a dump and lose 5 lbs. lol (sorry) Your doing great Tannis, even though the scale isn't mov'n, I bet your gaining muscle, you'll get there girl, just keep work'n it. Hope you have a better week.

Melomadame, awesome weight loss, and your welcome. Enjoy your time away. Have a great week.

Have a great week all.Smile
