out of control!

Quote  |  Reply

ok i feel like a lot of people will be able to relate... i have been doing really well with my eating and excercizing regularly, and i've lost about 20 pounds since june. but now that i am where i want to be i cant control myself, and i am so scared i'm going to bounce right back to wear i was before! the past week has been insane, i am eating everything in sight! last night was the definition of a binge. i ate a whole box of muesli and a 500g tub of yogurt in one sitting. today i ate a whole bag of dried pears that= around 100g of sugar! and i don't even feel that full, like i could eat more. i think a lot of it is stress, i just started grad school and moved to a new city. but can anyone give some advice??

thanks so much, good luck everyone!

think you are right. I think it's okay to have some really bad cheat days. The good thing is that you are aware of it and reaching out to others about it. I would take the next few days easy and try to not eat everything in sight. I know it's hard because the weekend is almost here.

I hate depriving myself of things that are yummy so I treat myself to a very small portion of something yummy often. Think its the only way to stay sane but I am really watching what I eat now and going to the gym everyday. If you can make it to the gym a couple of times a week for at least 1/2 hour then you should be fine.

Good luck

Hi,

Can I ask your current weight?  I've been with CC for a bit and it seems as if my stomache is shrinking somewhat  in that it doesn't take as much to fill up.  Once you stretch it back out it will be a chore to get it back.  When I get like that I think if im really hungery ill eat a tomatoe or sliced cucumbers.  If your body isnt' really hungry then try to get involved in an activity that requires you to move.  Remind yourself how much youve accomplished and stand infront of the mirror.  I don't know if any of this is helping, hope so.

good luck,

jami

If I need a snack between meals, I grab a handful of stick pretzels on the hour, and don't take another until the next hour.  I do this maybe at 3, 4, 5 P.M. and maybe 8/9 P.m.  Probably not as good as tomatoes or cucumbers, but seems to help.

when you feel like eating everything in sight, drink lots of water, exercise, eat fresh fruits and/or veges, AND change what you're doing.  if you're on the computer, go do the dishes or watch tv.  get outside, call someone...  anything!  just get busy & hopefully you'll forget that you wanted to eat everything in sight.  :D

yeah, pretzels are good, too...  or a piece of dark chocolate & eat it real slow & savor the flavor.
