Hi, I just registered here and I soooo want to know what you guys do when you get stressed!
As for me, I just gobble up foods which definitely feel the needs to fix. :(
It's totally uncontrolable when I get frustrated with studying or when trouble arises in my relationship with people.
Could you give me some alternative way on how to release stress?
(by the way I've tried listening to music loudlly but it jux hurts my ear so bad!)

I'll usually either work on some artwork commissions / projects I need to do, hop in the shower and sit on the bottom of the tub, with the shower water really hot and pouring down on me and just sit there, breathing evenly, and space out, almost like a trance of some sort ( I can usually calm down near ANY source of water ), or I'll turn on the computer, go into my Bookmarks in Firefox in the DDR / Para Para folder, and do some para para dance routines.
Or I'll write in my LJ my stress and frustration... by the time I'm finished typing, I usually feel a bit better.

Exercise!!! It's the BEST!
When trouble arises in a relationship, I confront it. If it requires yelling or growling, I do it.
Otherwise, I listen to aggressive music... or I take my katana out and prune the honeysuckles.
I scream.
I get out a punching bag and beat the stuffing out of it.
[I used to smoke, instead. For 30 years.]

Good question... I could do with some advice myself. Exercise is good - walking especially, because I can look at people and houses and birds and breathe some fresh air. I have also tried stretching.
Stress-eating is my problem, too. When I have to work on something difficult, after/before I meet a certain person who makes me cringe...

i wish i could just go for a walk and listen to some music....
but i end up smoking tons of cigs and get all stressed out about stuff until i cant stand thinking about it anymore.
i def. need to quit cigs tho.... and i def. need to get to walking or doing something healthy to channel my anger.

I put on crazy music (like REALLY upbeat or heavy metal) and just dance like a crazy person while letting out alot UGHHHS and stuff haha.
Unfortunately I drink for stress relief (but I do count the calories!). Going to Taekwondo twice a week helps, but there are 3 more days (at least) in the work week.
have a cigarette =D
exersise is a good suggestion - works for me.
i also do a bit of exersise in my room when im craving foods but not hungry (like sit ups or star jumps/jumping jacks)

When I stress I would go to supermarket buy a 1L neopolitan ice cream and eat as dinner.
But I usually leave a few spoonful behind so I feel less guilty.
