Come join the club in weight loss. it is called A NEW WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE!!!!
Don't be so hard on yourself. :)
You may also want to try to avoid Mc D's. :P
I think it's safe to say that we all have issues with self-control.
Just make small changes at a time.
It will come together. :)

Definitely try to avoid the big M. What helps me when I feel like I just need to keep eating is, at the very least, eat healthy foods!
Its better you get 1800 calories from tons of healthy food then lots of crappy food.
If you feel hungry, cook up a whole chicken breast. Eat a whole bunch of cooked veggies...heck even toss in some butter on 'em if ya like. Have a bowl of a healthy cereal (one w/ some protein in it) with some nonfat milk. Make a chicken wrap w/ some delish mustard and low fat cheese and other tasty veggies. Snack on some non-buttered popcorn. Lately I've just been going to the food store and finding all sorts of fun food finds! I bought a pizza-bagel the other day and added some wonderful goatcheese on it. Then I bought spinach and had a delicious salad w/ that and the leftover goat cheese today. So many healthy foods out there, enjoy them!
Basically, try not to focus SO much on eating less food (often times, that will just make you eat more b/c you are so focused on the food itself), but focus on eating healthier foods.
Goodluck :)

that's great advice from jazz---you are getting way too much salt and fat from the mcD's. it's much better to get your calories from low-fat foods, and you'll be surprised how much MORE you can eat if it's healthy stuff.
also, that marshmallow snack did something to spike your insulin, cuz it's almost all sugar, so that's why you are hungry after eating it. try a can of tuna, or a boiled egg, or some cheese, and you won't have the same effect. it will keep you satisfied for a long time.
and, be sure to drink a lot of water!

If you must eat the fast food make sure it's once a day, I know it's hard to give up because it's tasty and handy but it will have to go eventually.
thanks a lot all of you :D

gods_finest - do you eat fast? if so - you may want to try and eat slower. you may enjoy what you're eating and won't feel hungry so soon afterwards.
do you track your moods with what you're eating? i have for the past 4 months and it's helped me out a lot. many times i am unaware that i'm not really hungry and there's another emotion lingering that i can turn my attention to.
for example, i usually eat ice cream when i'm lonely. (i usually go with 1/3 the cals, low fat, or fat free) i don't have to be hungry - but i'm usually lonely. so instead of eating it (or overeating it) i can look into why i'm lonely and why i want to eat the ice cream/what i think the ice cream is going to do for me. (p.s. it usually does not cure my loneliness lol)
when i finally do come down to eating the ice cream, i try to eat it mindfully. since everyone uses food as comfort at times, i might as well make the best of it. so i smell it, touch the ice cream, breathe into the ice cream (you can see your breath), taste the ice cream, feel the coldness on my tongue, in my mouth, as it slips down my throat.
i usually enjoy it longer if i'm intact with what i'm eating.

I am soooooo with you in this! I had a horrible week. I was out of town at a conference where I ate the wrong foods, plus I got no exercise either. Then when I got home, my thought process was that it is the weekend, so I would get back on track on Monday.
A lot of damage can be done in a week. My clothes are tight again and I feel like a failure.
But tomorrow is a new day. Mondays are fresh starts. Good luck with your fresh start!

Hang in there and don't get down ... Although it was an unhealthy day you only consumed 1715 calories which isn't all that much in the grand scheme of things if that was your "bad day(s)". Hardly a complete failure.
I also agree that you should stay away from McDonald's. They make it too easy to eat poorly and it's soooo hard to resist if in the store ... I gave up McDonald's for 2007 and was forced to think more carefully about what I would eat. I haven't had it since Dec 2006 and literally don't think of it as food anymore.

I used to LOVE Subway's Tuna Sub... I'd be cautious with them though. The Subway website lists them as 530 calories for a 6-inch. Even without the cheese, that's only 50 calories, so 480 calories.
I know... you'd think tuna would be a healthy choice, huh? I had to switch my love a tuna subs there into a love of turkey subs. I've learned to love it.
