Converting a Personal Trainer
I work out at the local community college and one of the weight room attendants is a personal trainer at a gym too. I was talking to her tonight and telling her about the New Rules of Lifting for women program and while I was in cardio class let her borrow my book.
After class she said she didn't even get to the workouts yet but was impressed with the beginning -- so iwill be letting her borrow and read my book while I'm in my Step class on Tues and Thurs nights.
I think she'll be using that program for her clients in the near future!! Praise be !! There is hope yet that women will be lifting heavy without fear!!!
Excellent! Glad she had a mind open enough to learn from the gym clientele.
(I sure am glad this wasn't fish related...)
Whohoo!
I have just lent my book to the instructor at my gym aswell (although mine is male). I haven't actually started the workouts yet but I'm going to get him to run me through Stage 1 when he has finished and that way he'll know exactly what I'm doing and can help me get my form right initially :)
He also seemed impressed with the first 15 or so pages he read initially so hopefully when he does womens programmes in the future he'll be able to put some of to good use (I rarely see amy women there doing a proper weight routine)
