TODAY:
White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie (141 cal)
Oatmeal Raisin Cookie (133 cal)
Peanut Butter Cookie (114 cal)
Double Chocolate Cookie (84 cal)
Chocolate Chip Cookie (92 cal)
Plus...
1.2 bagels (410 cal)
Pat & Oscars Breadstick (242 cal)
and other stuff that made me go over maintenance.
Funnily enough, I still got an "A."
And no workout either.
Ughghhghghhghghghhghghg I went to a nutrition seminar yesterday and I feel like a tub of lard. What to do what to do. Why do I lose control like this?!

Cookies are evil. A sure way to blow a diet. I ate about 6 tea biscuits today. I did fit them into my calorie count. Don't buy them and you won't be tempted. You have about 5 different types, that must mean 5 bags. If you can't control yourself don't buy in such bulk.
I think I have a brownie fetish. Best way I know is to keep em outta the house.
But then I found an amazing easy recipe I can make in 5 minutes and throw in the oven.
How bout using the cookie as a reward. If you can get through the week without giving into a single sugar craving you can have a great big gooey cookie to celebrate. But only one, then you have to wait til the next week.

One of the best (nutrition wise) cookies I have found is 100% whole grain fig newtons. 130 cals, 2.5 g fat, 2 g of fiber, 15 g of sugar for two cookies. CC nutrition analysis gives them an A. If you can hold yourself to two cookies it is not that bad. I love them.
I also love cookies. I have a hard time controlling how many I eat so I avoid them completely including avoiding the cookie aisles in the grocery store.
I am a cookie-holic, also. So far what works for me (lost 9lbs since May 1, about 35 to go) is a Kashi cookie with skim milk or a mug of coffee for my p.m. snack. 1 cookie with 1/2 c milk is about 150 calories and has protein, calcium & fiber. They're kind of expensive, too which helps in making one cookie satisfy for a snack. The whole grain fig newtons are great, too.
Its okay, I've eaten way more extra calories than that in a day, so don't feel fat. Just go back to your normal diet and excersize plan and put it behind you like it never happened so you don't end up in a vicous cycle like me. My weight = my life.
I find there is nothing wrong with the love of a good cookie. I switched to shortbread myself. If you buy the right kind, they are richer so it's impossible to eat a lot of them. and when dunked in tea of coffee, they are even better.
Thanks for all your suggestions. I didn't buy the cookies; they were laid out on platters at an awards ceremony I went to. If there's something I can't resist more than cookies, it's FREE cookies!
