Cooking Buitoni whole wheat pasta
I am a good cook. But this stuff baffles me. I have a gas range which I'm still trying to adjust to (part of the problem, I'm certain), and I keep having to pull the little pot off the range because for some reason unknown to me, the pasta is boiling over. The pot is less than half full. I think the pasta is growing foam.
Any insight or success stories?
add some olive oil 1-2 tbsp before you put in the noodles.
I don't know how many calories it adds, but I've never cooked noodles without oil because I hate cleaning up that mess!! ;)
Oh, thank you! And according to the label on mine, 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil adds 240 calories, assuming you eat all the oil--but I don't know whether or not you would, since you drain the pasta... hm... mystery...
