Coolest name you've ever heard?
My name is Mary. I was named after my two grandmothers. booring.
In middle school we all got babies to take care of to discourage teenage pregancy.
I had 3 names I came up with. But I cant draw the line between cool and dare I say"ghetto"
for a boy I got Adrian and for a girl Niraija Marie or Aniyah Jane
I ended up just naming my baby Carlie Dian
There was a kid that went to my school named "Easten West"!
lol
but I'm kinda partial to my last name Hazzard!
mzmimi - I love the name Carlie Dian! That is so pretty.
I like the name Ellawyn. Too bad I didn't think of it till after my daughters were born.

Easten West....
Yh. Carlie Dian was a cool ass baby doll.
My late cat was called Anoushka. I miss her.
In high school, I briefly dated a boy named Doctor. I met his father a few times. His name is Mister. Seriously.
Husband's name is Odin
Daughter's name is Eleora (pronounced "ah-lora")
Hubby has a distant deceased relative that was named "Hardin Long."
I really like the names "Sabiha", "Soraya", "Sheba" and "Amina".
Oh oh and I just read about other peoples animal names so I wanted to add :P
Some of my cats (to date): "Mishka", "Dante", "Santino", "Akira", "Oscar", "Tzara", "Ashur" - the latter meaning "happiness" in Hebrew.

My mom told me Leila sounds like a prostitute :o :o :o Does anyone else share this feeling?
my friend had a friend named Eeoli (pronounced: ee-O-lee). a girl.
crispin butz
The ones that I liked from this thread were
Abcde (girl)
Verabella
Landon (boy)
(edit:include) Veradera
I would name my girl Tass... I think that's super cute.
We considered the aforementioned "Odin" and other variations of it. My husband also voted for "Balthazar" while I countered with "Voytek." LoL Both are bordering on ridiculous (imo).
We settled on Alaster (yes, the proper spelling should be Alistair, or something similar to that, but it's not a common name in the U.S.--didn't want to be correcting everyone over and over...turns out it was useless, because now he gets called "Ah-last-er" instead of Al-i-ster. Go us.)
If we have another boy, he will be Linus. :) Girls: Freya and Sora (or Sorcha). Also big on greek/roman god names (like Echo--that's pretty cool).
Sora reminds me of Sorrow.... that might kinda be cool lol

The husband and I had the names Freya (for a girl), and Basil (for a boy) picked out once upon a time... now all I know is I have the perfect boy name that fits so well with our last name... I am insanely protective of it though because when I looked it up it wasn't in the top 1,000 names since 1900, so until I pop out a baby boy, you all will never know. :P
Sometimes I love the name Thora, sometimes it just reminds me of the actress Thora Birch. *shrug*
I love old names, though. Pearl, Clementine, Ramona... none of them go over well with my husband, though.
This is hilarious... I had a baby girl just about a year after writing this and her name is Pearl. :)

She got Atreyu from the damned emo band because she's an emo little twit. Like, seriously the die-hard stereotypical emo kid who got on anti-depressants just to do it, tried to slit her wrists with a popsicle stick, put on a bunch of mascara, got her face wet, and drug it down with her fingers to take photographs for MySpace, and writes a suicide note whenever something minorly bothersome goes on with her life.
Sorry if that statement causes some controversy.
HAHAHAHAHA
GTFO EMOS!! xD

I like double names such as Eva Lill, Mia Christine, Ida Madelèn, Lillian Marlene, etc.
