I am thinking a person's name, but it could be anything, really. Just one of those unique names that make you stop and go "Huh? Cool..." I hope this is makin sense XD

It has a long "i" sound for the y and the a  is more like a short "u".  As a child on the first day of school when the teacher called roll, I knew when she paused and looked around it was me.

My daughter's name is Sloane...a strong, powerful sounding unique name.  She gets compliments constantly and loves it.

My other daughter is Lilah-old fashioned and graceful, like a southern belle.

My cousin's name is Quincy. It's not horribly uncommon, but you don't hear it that often and I've always liked it.

My boyfriend's parents decided 'Eric' should be spelled 'Aric."
The name itself is common but the spelling is pretty uncommon.

My son is due in June we are thinking about Grayson, we had picked out Logan, but that is becoming really common now. What do you all think? You like Grayson? Middle name will be Neal, my dad's name. Grayson Neal...

I knew a "joey" but it was spelled Joie. I like that way better.

stinky- Someone on here was talking about naming their dog Grayson so for me, I think dog now. haha
Salee (say-lee) is pretty cool I think. It was my grandma's name and is also my middle name. It's an  old family name that's supposed to mean Sarah in Indian.

Well my granddaughter is Sage Seraphim .  That's probably the most unusual I've ever heard.  We also have Jasmine, Chyna and Tyler.

my bf wants to name our kids Ryuu for a boy (it apparently means dragon in Japanese) and Jade for a girl.

I'm ok with Jade for a girl and actually think that is a really pretty name.  But I'm a little uneasy with Ryuu.

 Great...just what I wanted to hear...woof!!

If it is any consolation, Stinky, I like it!  My son's name is Slade.

stinky - I like the name Grayson. It is becoming more common though :/ Maybe just browse some more till something pops out at you, you know?

My mom told me Leila sounds like a prostitute :o :o :o Does anyone else share this feeling?
reila, your mom probably associates leila with "layla", the clapton song.  not necessarily a pro, but definitely sexy ;-)

I went out with a guy named Theophilus, but it sounded too much like an STD, so I was glad that he went by "Theo".  He was weird anyway...

Xavier - X-Man is his nickname - I thought that was cool

Lexi - I always liked that name for a girl.  Kind of cute and spunky and sexy too. "Lex" for short.  I first heard it when my (then) 5-year old nephew came home from Kindergarten talking about this little girl named Lexi, but he had a slight lisp and it came out "Leckthi" and I thought that was just adorable.

i really like the name sawyer.

The night before I was to be induced, my husband told me that me didn't like the name we had picked out for a boy "Sawyer Wilson Noble". Well, at least he didn't wait to tell me between pushes...

My friends daughters name is Abcde. It's pronounced ahb- suh- dee.

Wow... she's going to get picked on in school... Abcde... wow.

I like Grayson Neal :)  I agree about Logan - I know about 4 Logans under the age of 3.

yeah, that's bad.  really, really bad (abcde).

one of my best friends has two little girls.  i think she totally nailed the first name and totally blew the second one.  the first is Svea Mae.  the second is Fiona Skye.

i like boys names for girls: Jordan, Evan, Ryan, Dylan, etc.  problem is, we keep appropriating the good boys names and what's left for the boys?  we're back to the traditional ones like Thomas, William, Michael, Richard.  they all sound like starched-collar republicans to me, and i'm canadian ;-)

i do like fraser for a boy.  it's a family name.  my great grandfather was simon fraser -----, named for the explorer.  but my cousin stole it and named his little guy dylan fraser -----.  damn him!
So, the guy at J.C. Penny's name was Richard Head.  :D

I know a guy name Peter Shield - I always think of a condom when I hear his name =x
