Does anybody use protein shake mix from Costco? How do you fix it? I have the vanilla and I tried it with water (to keep calories down - there is 110 in the mix) and some frozen berry mix...... yuck! Couldn't handle it. I realize the not everything that is good for you tastes good too, but I really can't drink it like that. Now I have this big tub and I need ideas. I am really trying to keep it low calorie.
I haven't tried it but I remember reading from someone else on this site (I can't remember who), that the vanilla is terrible, but the chocolate is extremely good.
As for the vanilla, I would probably make a smoothie out of it (frozen fruit, skim milk, yogurt etc.). That's what I do with my vanilla soy mix that I don't especially like the taste of and I can barely notice it in there.
I haven't tried the Costco vanilla, but I've got some other vanilla shakes that I mix either peanut butter or a banana with (or both, if I want a bunch of calories for breakfast). I won't drink them by themselves, but I like them enough with either of those combinations that I'll keep buying them.

I buy the vanilla brand from Costco. I'm not a big fan, but my husband loves to drink it with just skim milk. I add low-fat frozen yogourt, peanut butter, and skim milk, and it's delicious.
Not a big fan either of the vanilla but you can try.....
1/2 cup skim milk or light vanilla soy milk
1/2 cup low fat vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup fresh/frozen strawberries
1 scoop protein powder
4-5 ice cubs
blend until smooth...tastes like a strawberry shake!
Chocolate is so much better. But this isn't too bad.
I have been using the chocolate protein from Costco as a workout drink. I usually mix two scoops with cold black coffee. I think the vanilla would also taste good with coffee. I have had a different brand of vanilla whey protein which I mixed with plain yogurt and strawberries, then blended it. Mmmm, it was delicious!
You definitely enjoy it more if you are really hungry for some calories, like right after a workout.
Enjoy! :)
