Reason: **EDIT: Updated members
I am posting my weight for the month and so far nothing, I am stuck with the water retention so the scale is not moving. Ugh hopefully September will be much better.
Hello
Still stuck at 240- so thats a 4 pound loss for last month. Better than a slap in the face!
Well done to everyone!!!
Laura :)
Hi people,
I'm down to 309 today so that is down 9 for the month and a total loss of 41.
I hope Gustav isn't giving y'all too bad a time down there on the Gulf Coast.
Cheers ![]()
Matt
Hi all,
Shocked to report a weight of 258 for a 4-lb loss this month. I am not sure I believe this, but I am going with it. Considering I also went up earlier this month, I am pretty pleased and especially happy that I turned it around this time before it got too far out of hand.
Good luck everyone on your weigh-ins!
September weigh in time...
SW: 320 lbs.
AUG 1st: 201 lbs.
SEPT 1st: 196 lbs.
MONTH LOSS: 5 lbs.
TOTAL LOSS: 124 lbs.
So I am under 200 folks! It feels amazing. I lost 5 pounds this month and I have another 11 to go for my ultimate goal of 185. So I'm almost there. I have been up and down all month. I always seem to lose a lot from Monday to Friday and then I'll blow it on the weekend. So it has put a damper in the quick weight loss. But that's a good thing. It's good that I'm losing at a slower pace now. My goal is to reach 185 by my 25th birthday which is October 8th, so hopefully next month I will be very close to that. This month has to be a good one for me. Gotta stay strong. Crunch time!!!
Congrats to all on a decent month. We are all sticking to it and that's the important thing. Keep up the good work everyone!
-Brett
Having been stuck, was glad to see yesterdays drop carry over to today with 270.8. Less then 6 lbs from my 200 lbs loss mark.
Sun -- you are probably tired of hearing it, but your loss and your persistence have been truly inspiring. Wow - only 6 lbs to go for 200 lbs lost!! I am so excited to see you hit that milestone.
CW: 186 :-)
SW: 305
CW: 223
Total: 82 lbs
I went up 9 lbs this month and then back down 7 for a net gain of 2 lbs, which is okay with me considering the new house, new job, new semester starting... But I'm still here and still counting!
Hello everybody,
My name is Wobbly, (it’s really Christine, but it was hard to find a name that wasn’t taken when I joined the site).
I have been inspired by all your stories and am so delighted to find others like me who have a weight problem. There is so much to learn and although I have tried many times in my 57 years to lose the weight I now realise that I was cutting my calories too low, going into starvation mode and then regained it all and more. It just shows we are never too old to learn.
I asked sun if I could join you all as I feel you are kindred spirits. With a starting weight of 350lbs on 30th July this year I have a long long way to go but hope with your support I can make it this time. Only others in the same boat know the problems I face and I hope to get to know you all over the coming weeks.
I live in the UK and married with 2 sons aged 29 and 27. I suffer with arthritus so have pain when walking, exercise is very limited. We have a villa in Florida and like to get out there as often as I can. My youngest son is getting married in July next year so I have a goal to aim for in that. I hate having my photo taken and know that I wont be able to avoid the cameras that day.
Keep up the good work, I am so grateful for people like you who help others. I hope to be an active member and support others when/if I can.
Good luck to all, I feel I can now face the future with hope. Wobbly.
CW: 312
I'm considering other options since the "lifestyle" change doesn't seem to be working anymore.
Hi All. Reporting in with a 2.5 lb lost. So, I'm at 375.5. (Still going in the right direction at least) Wishing everyone the best.
Hi
Brett- Well done with almost reaching your goal!! You and me are VERY similar in height, starting weights and goal weights (aside from the difference in gender, of course!). Im also 25 in october. :)
Sun- WOW! almost 200 pounds loss is amazing. I doth my cap :)
Wobbly- hey, Im also from the UK and have truly found this site a great help. If you use the information and groups on here it will feel like much less of a struggle.
Put me down at 296 please sun. A very slow month, but I've started excercising more so hopefully I will see some encouragement from the scale.
Thanks Laura and wow, what coincidences for you & Brett, and Brett crossing 200 - hope you meet your birthday goal but we still want to see you round!
Colourful betting that extra burn will show. Mwiowa, the right direction plus youve had an awesome year so far. Tina too plus turning around that gain - good job! Danielle - down in the hundreds and still dropping, go girl. Tracy, Im all support for any decisions with weight loss so hoping your options work out.
Guys - can you believe the progress! I was thinking it be cool come year end to a (voluntary of course) before and after photo update. Hoping I remember then to bring it up :D.
Just checking in! Things are going well here as far as keeping up the exercise and the 1000-calorie deficit, but the scale hasn't moved yet this month. I think my TOM is starting though.. seems like my lowest weight comes just before (timed perfectly for the Sept 1 weigh-in) and then it takes a while to drop below that.
I am still doing trainer sessions once a week. Yesterday's hurt me. I am supposed to do the workout twice a week on my own and have been slacking. I think I will be better at that once school starts on the 25th. Lately I have been taking a lot of time off work and taking myself where there are no gyms, so even though I am being active I am not keeping up on the weights.
The cool thing (there really are a few) about starting out so heavy is that we have lots of muscle mass and it is probably easier for us to maintain it than to start from scratch like someone who started out weighing less. It still takes work though. I am hurting today!
Hope everyone is doing well!
Hey everyone,
Looks like everyone is doing good. I'm logging my weight at 235 for the 1st. I've been fluctuating and eating way to much again. I am having an awful time spending time with my new g/f:) and friends without eating crap. Dinners here and there to meet each others friends and family is killing me. How do you guys stay on target if you have no idea what the calories are and don't want to be rude and not eat?
Thinking happy thoughts for September. Good luck everyone.
Angie
