Is this counter productive??

Quote  |  Reply

Hi again, as some may recall I'm trying to gain some weight so I've upped my calories quite a bit.  As a result I'm brimming with energy!  Its great and I feel good, except I feel the incessant need to burn that energy so I've noticed I've become more active, little bit longer with my workouts, walk to the park not drive, clean my whole house top to bottom (2x), move all the furniture out and back in to do it, haha.  Anyway my question is, will that be counter productive to my weight gain, burning off the extra energy I'm eating?  A friend told me I should be eating all day and sitting all day, be lazy as possible.  What do you think?

Thanks!!!!!!

Well I can assure you that becoming lazy and inactive is not a good idea. This could easily lead you into bad habits that will land you in yet another weight related issue... being overweight. The easiest thing to do would just watch. Watch to see if you are still losing or if you are gaining. And watch your intake and burn of calories. For example, if you know you are burning 3000 cals/day eat more than 3000 calories. If you are still worried talk to your doctor, they have special diets and food for people try to gain weight and they may be able to help you. Hope all this was helpful and good luck.   :)
