Couple's Halloween costumes, suggestions please!
Just as the title suggests...
I'm looking for ideas for my boyfriend and I. We don't have to do a matching thing but if there's something that's unique or funny enough, I'd like to. Last year I was Kevin Federline and my boyfriend went as crazy Britney with the shaved head and broken umbrella.
A few things to note:
1. we do not have kids so we don't need a costume involving them
2. I'd prefer no really overdone ones. For instance, I will not be a cheerleader and he will not be a football player.
Thanks in advance!
Here are a few I have seen in the past...an electric plug and the light socket...mustard and ketchup...salt and pepper...cigarette and lighter...warden and prisoner...princess and the pirate...queen and king...Hillary and Bill Clinton...just a few ideas...have fun!
Here's a good list to get you started. I like the idea of a zookeeper and a wild animal, not sure how to pull off the zoo keeper though. A beekeeper would be easier if you could find one of those netted masks.
Awesome ideas guys, thanks! cait, I really like that list. If I can't find something on there then I won't find anything lol.
My friend did a really cute thing last year that I was upset I didn't think of it first! Her boyfriend was Howie Mandel from "Deal or No Deal" and she was one of the models with a numbered briefcase... it opened and everything! She just glammed herself up and crafted herself a nice case. Her boyfriend's sister even was a model and the three of them walked around together all night, but I'm sure that just as a couple, it would work out very well too!
Janis Joplin & Jim Morrison. No, they weren't a couple, but from the same genre...
Just don't do what an aquaintance of mine told me.....Her boyfriend actually wanted to go as Chester the Molester and wanted her to go as a 10 year old girl.
Yuck!!!
I am in the same situtation as you. My boyfriend and me have been invited to a costume party so we will be dressing up this year (he hates this). We have talked about a lot of ideas, and I think we are going to be gangsters (think 1920's style) kind of like Bonnie and Clyde. I found a great website for costume ideas:
I have friends who went as trees with a hammock tied between them. But maybe that's too cute-sy for you.
I also had friends come dressed to a party as my husband and I! She borrowed a jacket like mine, and he borrowed some glasses and stuff--it was pretty cute. If you're going to a party where your host or another couple is easily distinguished by hair or clothing, that could be kind of fun.
Hubby and I are going to a Halloween wedding! ALways wanted to do that - I will wear my belly dancing costume (I belly dance) and he will wear pj bottoms (will buy some cheap ones at WM) and a scarf around his waist for belt and a dagger. He will be my drummer.
Saw this at a party of mine - he's a bee and she's a honey pot. - could be a flower... OR she's a bee and he's a bee keeper.
A rabbit and a Carrot
M&MS
A slice of pizza and a delivery person
A devil and an Angel
A screw driver and a screw
A pair of dice
How about a tissue and a runny nose. I think that could be funny if you can pull of the tissue. Maybe a tissue box.
I've always thought that the combo suits were interesting where each person is a half of a whole, but some of them are overdone or just goofy. If you have artistic friends, they could paint you as two parts of a picture so when you stand next to each other you form the completed work of art.
Lock and key (this may have already been suggested)
If you want something a little more risque you could go as a dirty farmer and a nervous sheep ;) It's wrong on a couple of levels.
