Crashed and burned :(
Binging is becoming more and more frequent and I'm starting to get worried. Just had a 6000/7000 calorie binge and feel like my rib cage will burst open. Yesterday I binged too but not quite as bad as today. My stomach is protruding like I'm hiding a balloon under my shirt and everything is going wrong.
My drive is fading. What do you all do to stay focused? I have a calandar tracking my 'binge-free' days till I go on holiday and have to wear a bikini - just under 2 weeks. Is there any chance I'll lose the weight I've gained from my binges in time? Gosh, lord help me! :(
You're putting too much pressure on yourself! What makes you think you have to wear a bikini on vacation? Embrace modesty and wear something that shows a little less of yourself, and stop freaking out about this bloody holiday, ok?
Now, just keep losing weight at a steady, slow weight with a deficit of about 500 calories per day. Eat regularly. Eat healthily. Don't starve yourself. And for heaven sakes, don't let yourself wallow in self-abuse and guilt! It isn't attractive.
If to get in your bikini your diet is too extreme then your body will compensate for the lack of nourishment by forcing you to look for quick-fix energy. I agree with cactus_bob.... take it a little more gently. Eat regularly, choose good quality foods, plenty of vegetables and work out a sensible calorie target to aim for. Good luck
I understand the binging. Try to let go of it, it's in the past and it's done. You might be like me, and need to allow yourself a cheat now and then so the binging doesn't take over. It will mean you lose more slowly, but you might be less likely to destructively binge. I do agree that you may be putting too much pressure on yourself to meet this goal for your vacation. Maybe you can compromise and plan on a less revealing two piece suit. Don't beat yourself up. Move on and plan to eat healthily.
Possibly you might need to find out why you are binging. There is probably something else behind your use of food that you need to address. I think that you should beat yourself up a little about eating 6000/7000 at some point you have to get real about why you are doing it.
