hmm healthy donuts.. I don't really think do. But maybe you can find a healthier alternative. Can't really think of one righ tnow though. What I do when I want a donut however is just replace it for my lunch (I know this is really terrible, but sometimes you need to indulge and this leaves me close to my calorie count). I normally do it on sunday when I sleep in, I'll have it for breakfast with some coffee, then have my other much larger meal around 3, and have a snack at 6 or so. Or get timmbits (if you have tim hortons where you are, they are tinny and one might satisfy your craving without sending u over your calories for the day)
Chocolate covered eh? I've got one. Sugar free chocolate fudge instant pudding. I dip strawberries or graham crackers in it all the time. I have to avoid the Krispy Kreme display a the supermarket. I take a detour down another aisle to get to the produce department just so I don't have to pass the doughnuts and hear them calling to me.
When I find that I just *have* to have a donut (sometimes you just have to), I eat one French Cruller. That satisfies my craving and it's not TOO bad for me!
Dunkin Donuts lists theirs at 150 cals each on their site (here they are listed at over 200, not sure why).

yeah it was great i used to eat 6-12 everymorning....i stopped doign that for a month and lost 15pounds.
If you are desperate for a doughnut go and buy one. Squeeze it up in your hand until it is a hard white ball, then look at all that slime and grease on your hand. I guarantee you won't want to eat it anymore. This technique works great for french fries too.(chips in UK - I'm bilingual).
oh the sweet smooth dough outweighs all of that lol. but really im African American...in my culture ive eatin alot of things I dont get gorssed out anymore. I could make the people on fear factor look liek amatures....Chiterlins(Pig Intestine) Trife(Pig Stomach) Oxen Tail....Armodilla....Oppossum...lol a little grease wont bother me...but i got ove the urge lol
Now I know how to loose weight. I'll just read your post Derrick and it will put me right off dinner. I had alway wondered what chiterlins were and now I wish I didn't know. Glad to hear the craving passed.
(Salome drawing her sword) I hearby declair war on the donut craving.
Here, here to 4kk9's post. On Fridays I have a 400cal cinnamon
bun for "brunch". Hey, I eat veggies most of the week; it isn't
gonna kill me. :)
Whoops, forgot my other tip. Here in Canaduh we have Tim Hortons everywhere and they have Timbits. There must be something like that ...there can't be too many calories in 1 little Timbit, can there? I don't know I don't eat eggs/dairy..

Oh man, I LOVE Tim Horton's. We have them here in CT/RI as well. I particularly love their sandwiches. I just wish they didn't have so much sodium! There is one on my block. It's open 24 hours and sits right between my apartment and my favorite bar. Very very dangerous.
As for doughnut cravings... I do get them, intensely. I can usually satisfy them with a low-fat chocolate scone. Yum.

Sorry dude there is no alternative for donuts other than timbits and I think they don't cut it. Just have ONE and be done with it. But only ONE. No party packs, only buy one!
