Craving fats...
Lately I've noticed that I never crave anything sweet, but fatty foods such as nuts and unsweetened chocolate. Is there any explanation for this craving? I always eat wholesome foods such as veggies, milk, meats that aren't so COMPLETELY laced with fat, and wheat products and avoid processed sugar like the plague (plus, it's much too flavorful and strong for me anyway). I feel like I eat plenty of fats anyway, but I still crave it (unless I go super overboard with like 4 servings of nuts or something like that)
theres nothing wrong with craving fat. eating fat doesnt make you fat. fatty foods are satisfying and keep you full.
edit: dont go overboard on anything of course.
Maybe you are not taking in enough fat? If our body is lacking something, it will eventually develop a craving and if possible, an urge to binge.
i agree with driftpsychosis.
I think I definitely have enough fats, though. If I didn't give in to my cravings, I'd still have consumed about 20-30% of my diet in fats. So I don't know what's wrong! haha

What's wrong is that you're trying to rationalise pleasure....
Food's not just about nourishment and calories it's also about enjoyment... some would even say it's principally about enjoyment. If you particularly enjoy nuts and chocolate and you haven't had any for a while, then you'll fancy some. If you particularly enjoyed going to the theatre, hadn't been for a while and then bought some tickets on the spur of the moment you wouldn't be wondering why or accusing yourself of 'giving in to cravings'.
"A little of what you fancy does you good.... "
I could eat nuts all day long....
God I love nuts!
Since the weather has been getting colder, I have been craving more fat as well. I have been eating a ton of nuts too. You'd swear I was going to hibernate next!
