you could try pizza salad.
ingredients:
3/4 cup refrigerated garden vegetable pasta sauce.
1 tablespoon olive oil.
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning.
1 cup (4 ounces) Mozzarella cheese, shredded.
1/3 cup (1-3/4 ounces) small pepperoni slices, halved.
1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced.
1 cup green bell pepper, chopped.
1/4 cup black olives, sliced.
1 tomato, chopped.
just mix it and then put it in the fridge. you get tons of veggies, and it's only 270 cals per serving. also, you could use low-fat pepperoni and low-fat mozza cheese to save some cals even.
In the recipes I put one for "sam's whole wheat pizza"; 1/8 of a 16 inch pizza is around 300 calories...
I personally agree with the folks that said, in effect, "If you want pizza, then eat it ... in moderation." That's the operative term right there, "... in moderation." My tradition (or ritual as the case may be) for the longest time has been to eat pizza on Friday night. And you know what? I jumped back into using CC approximately a month ago and I still eat pizza -- I treat myself to Little Caesars every Friday night.
I make a pact with myself to make up for that "indulgence" the rest of the week with exercise and a more well-rounded diet, so it's not a real big deal. Sure, the analysis for Friday looks like a bloody nightmare, but I still average about a 'B+' for the entire week (even with the pizza). So, my thought is that if you want pizza, have pizza ... just make sure you make up for it the rest of the week.
Bake the tortilla (I use a fat free one) until crispy. Spread with a bit of sauce (I use my own homemade marinara), put on the veggies, add about an ounce of mozzarella (you can actually get a fat-free one). I put mine in the micro to melt the cheese, and cut it into wedges with a pizza cutter.
I like this better than regular pizza now! It's a shame that regular pizza has to have some many calories/fat in the crust :( Be creative and satisfy your cravings.
