for laughs...in retrospect, what is the craziest thing you ever did to lose weight?

when i was younger i used to think the more healthy food i ate, the skinnier i would be. i would literally eat and eat and eat healthy foods until i felt sick. then i would eat some more. i dont think i knew that you were only supposed to eat until you felt satisfied.

even though thats not really the craziest think i have done, but it is really the only one with some humour in it.
oh god.... meth..... don't recommend it....

*BEFORE I was a parent!!!
lol, yah, i used to put crack inside joints i would smoke in an attempt to lose weight as well. but after a few i started to get really really sick, so i stopped :)
My aunt told me that she used to diet by only eating burritos and watermelon.  (ha ha, wtf! :D)
horrible concoctions involving vinegar and cayenne...
The summer I turned 15 I put myself on a popcorn and ice tea diet.  For the entire 3 months I ate nothing else.  I lost 50 pounds.  The following year I lost my gall bladder. Back then the only way to correct gall stones was to take the whole thing out.  The surgery left a scar from just below my breast bone all the way to my belly button.  So much for having a bikini body!

i tried running when i was in college...and i didn't have the slightest clue how to start doing it so i just went outside and started running like i was crazy.

the worst part is, i would be smoking a cigarette as i was running!  talk about counterproductive!!!
Thinking that the best way to lose weight was to eat as little as possible for as long as possible. Thinking that every skipped meal was helping my progress. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Wrecked my metabolism.
Mine is relative to mctami - I ate pretzels and water for 2 months and lost like 20 some pounds....It was quite fun (sense the sarcasm?)  I didnt have any energy...ever...and all I had was headaches.
The all cabbage soup diet all cabbage all the time.........all gas all the time.........smelliest diet i was ever on im shocked my husband didnt leave me after the months time i was on it.
actually this was by accident... i lived in oregon and it was steadily about 100 degree weather one summer, that was unusual so we didn't have air-conditioning. It was so hot all the time so i pretty much lived on crushed ice and popsicles, by the end of the summer i was at least 15 lb lighter. This was back in highschool though... I wouldn't reccommend it either, because it's bad for your teeth. I got lucky it didn't do any damage, but for the long-term i'm sure it would make them a lot more sensitive if nothing else
Atkins.

I know, lame.
Ephedra.  Lost 30lbs in roughly 30 days.  But damn near had a heart attack in the shower around the 6th week.  I stopped THAT DAY, it was so scary I didn't care if I gained 100lbs back.   I didn't want to die.  Unfortunately my boyfriends best friends mother wasn't so lucky.  She died (a long, horrific death) because of it.  And my friends girlfriend had to undergo a heart valve replacement after coming off Ephedra.   I  guess I was a lucky one.

Threw up.  One time, after eating fast food.  Took me about 30 minutes to get it up (my gag reflex is non-existant) and I felt terrible afterwards.  Never again!
i know ephedra is bad, but i sure do miss it just the same... lol
I miss the weight loss, but not how I felt that day. I started crying in the shower when "it" started, stumbled to the bedroom (couldnt see, everything was black), still covered in soap and just laid in my bed. I didn't even tell anyone what was happening.  I thought I was going to die right there.
I stopped eating. When I was super starving, I ate some dry toast. That diet failed when college drinking kicked in.

I was sooo wise.
that is very scary. i took low dosages of ephedra in highschool to stay awake in class but i was taking half the reccommended amount so the worst that happened to me was having restless legs

i did take 2 caffeine pills (no-doz i think) a few months ago at work b/c i was so tired, but i don't normally consume much caffeine and my heart was beating so fast and making me dizzy and nauseous which was really scary at the time
Starving myself (eating 500-1000 cal/day) and ruining my metabolism. It doesn't help that I have my sister (who is in MEDICAL SCHOOL) telling me that it's perfectly healthy to starve yourself to lose weight. But after a month-long plateau, I'm never listening to her again. I'm sure I'll always struggle with the urge to cut calories really low... it seems only natural when trying to lose weight.
not eat =D heh, lucky i didnt gain it back =S
