Good eating and exercise? Laughing

I am neither in college or a crazy partier, but I would assume that trying to consciously eat less calories on days you drink should help.  That, or try to work on a weekly calorie average...eat a little less some days to give yourself extra calories 'to spend' on drinks on the weekend.

It's actually been quite easy for me... I don't really party, so I suppose that helps... but the best things are 1) i can plan my own meals and meal times; 2) i have a gym routine and go to fun active classes like kickboxing and yoga; and 3) i keep busy enough that i'm not too preoccupied by food.

I don't know what your lifestyle is like, but I am loving how easy it is to watch my weight in college and I hope you can have an easy time too!

I was able to lose 20lbs my freshman year of college by being thoughtful of what I ate at the dining commons and walking everywhere! You may also want to see what type of activities your school sponsors, I know that my school sponsors all sorts of sports related clubs what are not only a great way to get exercise but to meet tons of kids.

When partying I'd say keep healthy snack on hand to avoid giving into those latenight pizza cravings and just be mindful of how many drinks and what the calorie content is.

While a food plan is a must for all students that live on campus, I limit my days to when I eat down there since the food is extremely unhealthy and is always greasy or soaked in butter. When I eat there, I usually just have a salad and whatever vegetables they're having.

I'm not a big partier but if I know I'll be going out that night, I like to limit myself to what I eat throughout the day and limit myself to very little drinking. I know drinking helps pack on the pounds, so everyone laughs at me when I tell them I'm worried about that! For some odd reason, when I drink I usually don't get hungry at all... just extremely thirsty for water. To be honest, those that I know who drink a lot are the ones that have gained a great amount of weight. If you limit your partying nights and stay on a healthy diet, you'll definitely be okay with the help of also going to the gym as well!

Honestly well as unhealthy as it is most people at my college don't eat on days when they're planning on drinking to save the calories.

i know that i gained 10 pounds my freshman year in college and I am finding it impossible to shed them. I'm definitely eating much healthier now that i can make my own food and  not have to rely on the dining halls but drinking is making hard to lose anything. I drink a minimum 3 nights a week and drink a minimum of 8 drinks per nightSurprised. Drinking this much makes it seem impossible for me 2 lose weight even if I am exercising and eating healthier and less food.

When you eat in the dining hall only let yourself make one trip don't go back for seconds, unless it's veggies. DON'T EAT DESSERT!!!! seriously i see my roommate starve herself all day then eat like 2000 calories worth of cake and ice cream EVERY NIGHT! also if it's covered in sauce and cheese don't eat it! and just because something says vegetarian doesn't mean its low cal my cafeteria makes tons of vegan food, but all of it has ove 700 cals and it's full of FAT!(they post nutrition info online)

when you party be smart don't let other people mix your drinks  use vodka or rum with DIET soda and only put in a shot or two( 60 cals a shot), dont' drink beer either it won't get you drunk, it tastes bad and it will make you fat and farty. I've actually had no trouble maintaining my weight and i party a lot, but i also get a lot of exercise walking to my classes and carrying books.

I'm too poor to eat. Really. That's my diet plan- canned beans and spinach with rice.

but for people with money or a meal plan, yeah, lizzypoo is right. Cafeteria deserts suck to begin with and that's where they'll get you. We have a soft serve ice cream machine that I've never touched because I know once I start, I can't stop.

I drink white wine most of the time. A bottle has 610 calories, but I'm on a 2100 calorie diet plan (I love to exercise) so that leaves 1500 calories of food- more than a lot of people here eat in a day.

Start dancing at parties! Not only will you meet fun people, but you get crazy good exercise.

Also... uh... there are other illicit substances out there. They may make you hungry, but if you arm yourself with low-cal food with heavenly textures, the munchies are no problem.
