DH and I just got a + on a pregnancy test! I took it early, about 5 or so days before my period. I was going to wait to take it to see if I would miss it, but I took it because I have been having some mad, crazy dreams for the past couple weeks. I remember when I was pregnant before, I had vivid dreams all throughout my pregnancy. So I took it as a sign (as well as tender boobs) to go ahead and take a test.
Man, these dreams are nuts. Almost to the point I don't want to go to bed! Have you experienced this?
Also, I read a little silly thing about pregnant women and dreams, and how some women "know" the minute they are pregnant and will have dreams about positive pregnancy tests and babies and so on. Well, I've had dreams of that too the past week or so. Sounds silly, but it's true!
First of all, congratulations!
I had really wacky dreams during both of my pregnancies. My husband was always ready to hear about my crazy night! Some, though, were really, REALLY bad (like, being shot while pregnant, chased by zombies, etc). I even dreamt of giving birth (and it was easy!).
While I didn't dream of pregnancy tests, I did dream about the gender of my daughter during my first pregnancy. Every dream I had about her, she was a girl. With my second, I never dreamt about a gender. He was always just a baby in not-so-much detail.
I had crazy dreams too: Being chased by monsters was one of the worst. The best was when I dreamed my stomach was transparent and I could see the baby's face. Congrats!
The only time I remember my dreams is when I am pregnant. The other night I dreamt that I was walking thru a house that was still under construction and it was being built on an airport runway. The downstairs was all fresh drywall but when we got upstairs it was all lived in and then we found it was Trace Atkins house. On this second floor he had opened a veterinary clinic.
Makes no sense!!!
That's nuts! I was pregnant about five years ago, even though it was only for a couple months I started having really strange dreams that I would remember almost every day, and they're just now going away! After five freakin years! I still have some crazy ones, I just don't remember them quite as often as I used to.
Just the other night I had a dream that the delivery room had theatre seating in it and all my friends were there eating popcorn. It came time to get my epidural and people started pelting me with the popcorn. The anesthesiologist couldn't get the epidural in because of the popcorn, so he gave me gas. When I woke up from the anesthesia in my dream, I was told I had given birth to a walking talking toddler.
