Creating a new recipe
I've been trying to incorporate Whey Protein powder into a recipe but I keep getting parsing errors. I've tried all of the following:
1 (250g) protein [84161]
1 (250g) Protein Powder, whey
1 cup protein [84161]
1 cup Protein Powder, whey
1 cup Whey Protein Powder
1 tbsp protein [84161]
1 tbsp Protein Powder, whey
1 scooop protein [84161]
1 scooop Protein Powder, whey
each time I get the error message "Unable to parse this recipe. Please refine below." Also, there is a yellow flag next the the row.
Can anyone help me? Also, I know scooop is misspelled. It's the way it's written in the entry for whey Protein powder in the foods database.
Thank
Typing "1 scoop protein powder" works. It's GNC Whey Protein Powder.

Is that close enough to the type of powder you use?
Typing "1 scoop Whey Protien Powder" brings up Met-RX
Okay, I can't get the EAS protein powder to work. If you really need that one, try sweet talking Claire. I'm sure if she has the time she'll try to figure it out for you.
I use Met-RX original which is not in the database, so I put all the other ingredients in, print off the stats, then manually add the Met-RX stats and enter as a custom food, tag it. A pain, but because of the nutrient mix and cals I wanted to be very accurate.
I tried to look into this as well. Curious since usually you can tweek it to get it to pull in correctly, whether you use grams, 1 Serving, 1 scoop, etc......
Couldn't make it work either. If I had to take a stab at it, I would say it is because it does not register any weight (grams). When I logged it as a single item, no grams came up on my daily log, and I am guessing that the recipe preparer function won't work correctly without it.
Best shot would be to find a really close substitute and enter that instead, or enter your recipe and then just enter the Whey Protein as a separate item on your log every time you have that food item.
Good luck.
