-Sew your t-shirts together and donate to a daycare for parachute play.

-Cut in half, add ribbons and your bras suddenly become lovely summer  bonnets.

-Cut pant legs off, sew one end closed and use to line your garbage pail .

- Sew the top closed and use underpants as double dispenser for left over shopping bags.

-Another use for t-shirts, cut off sleeves, sew neck shut and slip on as a mattress cover

By the way why would your socks be too big?   Aren't they one size fit all?

ooh, Freecycle is great!
Make Quilts for people who really need them.

I love this thread !!!!

Still have hick ups from laughing so hard with those bra's gone summer bonnets, bwaaaaaah Laughing

- stick t-shirts on a curtain rod for colorful window covering

- cut of legs of pants and sow them closed, add a strap = nice shopping bag

- cut shirts in long strips and crochet them into floormats

Funny! when i gained weight in college, I took my cloths that were to SMALL and made a quilt out of them!

this time...make new quilt out of BIG cloths!

take your jeans/pants and cut the legs off, cut out the fourth of the jeans/pants with one of the back pockets in it and swe ot back together, sew the bottom shut, making the remaining butt pocket the backside, and create a strap from one of the pant legs......you have a purse!

I did this and sold them for extra cash in college.

Kite flying time is coming soon!!! Laughing

Leaf bags are raking your yard-- cloth ones really are great!!! Re-usable!!!

Window washing, car washing, dirty job washing rags!!!

Painting/messy project, floor and table protectors! I love having these!

Biggest, baddest scarecrow ever seen, lol!!!!! >>>>> with Special SUNBONNET!!! SurprisedWink

Just saw sweetmelissabee's post, (Love that name!), and she reminded me of this--

One of the nicest decorator pillows I've ever seen was a denim pockets pillow- 9 pockets sewn to create a 9-patch pillow... or a denim quilt- warm!!! Laughing

I love this thread; I just donated 5 grocery bags full of clothes that were either too big or I just didn't like them anymore to the Planet Aid bin. My closet now has space, yay!

But I still have more - these clothes just keep popping up. I wish I had more time to make crafts out of them, because I always tend to save things just in case I'll find a use for them someday. It's kind of a bad habit.

I love corduroy, and I want to make something cool out of my too-big (and tattered, not worth donating) corduroy pants. I'm not a purse person, though. Maybe some kind of headband? Ooh - how about a scarf? That's nice and easy!

Restyle them. Hey if I can restyle a smaller size up, I can restyle them down.

Then there are crazy quilts and pillows!!

I give my old jeans to my aunt, and she makes purses out of them =]

take one of the legs off an old pair of jeans and make a skirt.

piece them together for a drop cloth.

Fill a pair of your old granny panties with chocolate pudding and leave them hanging on the fence for your crabby old neighbors to find. Innocent

When I lost a lot of weight in college (before I gained back, and am trying to lose it again) I took a skirt I had made in High School and took it apart and made a cute little dress. I had gone down from a 28 to a 16.
